I've been sitting in front of computer for 2 hours. Now what? What should I post? I said before consistency and having more followers is the key to success on steemit. But what if you're out of ideas to post. Like me, I've been reading blogs for 2 hours and at the same time thinking what would be the best topic to post. It's like my mind is totally blank! hahaha..
Then the light turns on!
So let me share you some of the ideas came up after hours of thinking and reading blogs to get the idea what to post. Here's the ideas I got:
Look for the trending topics and gather some information
After gathering some information about the trending topics you can investigate and write your own perception. Since we have the right speak, why don't you tell your own opinion about it. For example, lately the byteball airdrop has been trending on steemit. So to write something about it you can try to join and write something about your experience.
Write a sequel to a previous trending post
Like my previous example which is "byteball", why don't you write a sequel about it. If the topic has been popular for sure people are waiting on what would be the next level. So if you will write something about it the possibility of getting notice is higher.
Write a counterpoint to a popular post
When I saw a popular post, I'm not just looking for the positive and great benefits of reading it. I'm also looking for the negative side of it. If you also found a negative side of the popular post, write something about it and be on the trending page.
Teach your followers how to do something
On what field are you good at? Are you good on singing? Why don't you post how you train yourself. On how you do vocalization. Are you good on cooking? Why don't you post the recipes. Write something about it or show it on video tutorials.
Interview someone successful
You can try interviewing someone successful. Write down the good things you've learn and write something about it. Post what you've discussed about and what you have learned from it. If the person you interviewed is popular your post might also be popular.
Tell us what is your favorite book and summarize it in a post
What is your favorite book? Maybe you can write something about it or tell us why it is your favorite. My favorite book has a title "What Does the Bible Really Teach?" It tells us a lot of things about the Bible which is known as the greatest book. It can tell us about life creation, why there's poverty, sickness, death and how Jehovah God will remove those things and how he will do the resurrection in the near future. You can download a free copy of that book here.
Lastly, you can use https://ulogs.org or https://musing.io
You can be one of the "Uloggers" by posting your ulogs to https://ulogs.org created by @surpassinggoogle. You can post anything happened within the day or post whatever your plan is on the day. You can also read the rules on the platform itself. I treat Ulogging as an online diary.
You can also try https://musing.io. On this platform you can write or answer questions and be rewarded for it by means of upvotes. You can login to Ulogs and Musing by your steemit's username and keys.
These are the things I can think of right now. If you have other suggestions or addition to what I posted kindly do it at the comment section.

You can also try "freewriting" @ayerz
Freewriting involves writing non-stop whatever you are thinking about as you are thinking about it. Sometimes it involves typing "I don't know what to type I don't know what to write my mind is blank" but eventually a new thought will pop up and you write it down instantly.
Once you are done freewriting you can extract some of the ideas you wrote and construct them into a real post.
P.S. I usually set a timer for 10 minutes when I freewrite.
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try that whenever I'm out of ideas.
