With the words of the Minister for Road Transport and Transportation Obaidul Quader, the move to revoke the quota reform process, due to the absence of the statements of the other ministers, announced today that the students and job-seekers will continue their work together on Monday afternoon.
After the announcement, the procession started from various parts of the university towards Raju sculpture of TSC. Students from different places including Shaheed Minar, Fuller Road, Vice Chancellor, Surya Sun Hall in front of the Vice Chancellery office, gathered around the procession. Later, the students stayed there till 8:30 pm.
Meanwhile, a coordinated movement has been postponed for 13 and a half hours demanding reform of the quota system. The movement will start again from 10am on Wednesday.
Today, on Tuesday night, at around 8:15 pm, the protest program in Dhaka University (DU) TSC announced the suspension. Then at around 8:30 pm, the protesters left the TSC bend.
Earlier, a delegation of 19 members of the protesters demanded the reform of the quota in the afternoon, meeting with the minister Obaidul Quader. At the end of the meeting, they announced the suspension of the movement until May 7. However, on Sunday night, the protesters withdrew the announcement and the protesters continued the protest.
Meanwhile, from today morning the movement was divided into several parts. Two more parties were created outside 'Bangladesh General Student Rights Protection Council'. But in the evening, all the parties declared together the nationwide movement.
