We are here to solve problems
If you happen to choose to believe
that there is a God, and that He created this world for a purpose, that He made you and I for a reason - then it is worth deliberating for yourself what that purpose is.
I happen to believe all of the above, and am comfortable sharing what I have come to believe my life purpose is.
I will be transparent here
and let you know that I have found the Bible to be an unimpeached source of information concerning world view, meaning of life, and things eternal. So, much of my conclusions regarding purpose are supported by what that book teaches.
In seeking out my life purpose,
I have to consider the importance of my life in view of eternity. I mean who wants a life purpose that lasts only a short time?
I would hope that my purpose for existence is more than bringing home a great pizza for dinner...
The world, broken as it is,
is the scene of a great cosmic conflict. God's purpose in this battle is to share His grace with the people He created. His enemy (and ours) has a purpose, too - that is to disrupt God's design of good and health and love.
We are caught on the field of battle, and play a role in resisting Satan's goals, and enforcing God's.
God gives us tools, if we choose to use them, to assist us in our resistance to Satan's attacks.
And one of the useful tools He offers us is wisdom - and the creativity that comes with that wisdom.
Part of our life purpose then, is
to use creativity to discover and implement answers to the problems and challenges that this broken world presents us.
So, I challenge you - what can you find an answer to? What problem can you offer creative help in fixing? How can you leave a lasting impression behind you today?
Great message my friend! I appreciate your love for the Lord! The message of Jesus and His substitutionary death and bodily resurrection from the dead is really the best news and only good news there is for this world. The Love of God through Jesus Christ, displayed by His true believers can and will change this world.
God bless!
