Quality post! I agree. I was disillusioned into thinking that voting was this great thing until the Bernie campaign happened and all of a sudden your votes were being thrown in the trash, people were un-enrolled, and machines were picking the wrong person despite you clearly selecting who you did want. Say what you want about his policies but it was a great learning moment for so many. Presently voting is a sham but in the future will it be as so? More than likely but with more people aware of the shenanigans that go on we can hope that it will improve. Eventually the government will just stop holding elections if more of the people that they don't want to get into office do.
Not to say that I still agree with the quasi-socliaistic agenda. I have since gained my center point again to understand that big government like that is a bad idea when it gets played out. It has great sounds on paper and expressed by a politician but in reality it's just a joke.
