This post is for the people who have read a lot of my stuff. I know that sometimes people comment a lot and I have dozens of comments. Other times I get 1 or 2 people to comment on a post and that's about it.
I became really curious then and have been meaning to ask about your preferences.
I myself like writing dumb little stories like yesterday's. I just had a few ideas and wrote it to test my fluency and my ability to write something cohesive and coherent in just a few minutes. I liked the topic, the ambiance, and I critiqued it the way I critique other people's works to end up with a decent story.
I think that's my favourite thing to post, but people don't usually comment on those and instead go to my posts oriented toward Steemit and philosophical questions. A few examples by category:
Steem-related posts:
- 5 ways to get a basic income on Steemit
- Does Steemit count as commercial usage of content?
- How to protect your Steem account like you're paranoid
- My horizontal rulers (Everyone is welcome to use them!)
Philosophical questions:
- Are animals happier than humans?
- Does fate exist? (And by extension, is free will an illusion?)
- Laws and Chains: Consciously heeding the absurd
- The beginning and end of humanity — Are there incomplete humans?
- Everything Humanoid! — The Painful Facets of Anthropocentrism
Venezuela:
- Venezuelan Government Attacks Currency Exchanges: RapidCambio, AirTM; AnyTrades leaves the country
- How the Crisis has Changed Venezuela: The Rise of Nepotism
Tiny stories:
There are also some self/poetry/personal posts, tiny journeys, reviewing stuff that I saw (like Kino's Journey or an MMORPG that I found), etc.
I will, of course, ultimately do whatever I want, but I really want to know if you prefer (the people who constantly read me) the Steem-related posts, or the posts about Venezuela, or my weird little experiments, or my stories, or whichever pattern you notice that you love... I'm curious! Please tell me:
Which of my posts are your favourite?
Leave a vote and a comment below, let's see what you like the most about my blog. :)
Don't know, whatever inspires you is what usually will do the best, that is my experience to working / the Internet.
Yup, many things inspire me! I'm just curious about which of the things that I create while inspired create the most relatability on the readers.
I have always liked your fiction posts as it has elements of quirkiness that suits you.
Honestly I would also like to see more of your posts about Venezuela.
Yay! :) Alright, so from all I've gotten here, it seems that people just like everything but the philosophy section. Such discrimination, lol. I may incorporate it into my stories then sometimes.
I will also try to get some information on interesting topics about Venezuela. Overall, it's so sad that I find that I can't post about certain things or I would make my posts too negative. Things like my thoughts after being mugged, the health situation that has people dying, the overall misery, etc.
I'll try to think of some milder topics for wider audiences.
Actually, I'd LOVE to read your thoughts after getting mugged, health situation that has people dying, etc. There's a whole youtube channel just interviewing people who have spent years in jail. Depressing topic? Sure. But hella fascinating and interesting.
Same thing with topics like those. Maybe negative/slightly controversial but I think people eat that stuff up.
Hmmm, I like to design a certain image for my blog. Even though it's filled with various topics, they are all within the frame of what I allow. It's like trimming a plant. Even though it would be ok and people like plants of all shapes, I would like this plant to be star-shaped and to have very red cherries. :) I can't always have the red cherries on, but in season, they'll be good :D
That makes sense. I'd still totally love to hear your mugging story, though
I like everything a bit, it's good to read different things that belong to the same author, I think our blogs should reflect different things.
On the other hand, the other day I was commenting with you about this, and it would be interesting if you would make a publication about the voting bots and how to use them properly. I do not know, it's just a suggestion. Regards!
I've thought about it and I don't think that it would be convenient. Bid bots are very controversial right now and even though I use them, I don't want to become a "promoter" of bid bots. I prefer a more neutral position like: I think they're bad but they're the only choice right now.
However, I do see that many people are losing money while trying to use them, so I might do a guide for that. Eon, however, thinks that people should lose money when they use bots because that's the meaning of paying for a service. Dunno. I'll keep considering it and I may do it, but I'm not very sure that I'll do one because of the reasons mentioned, plus, screenshots are not pretty.
"Eon, however, thinks that people should lose money when they use bots because that's the meaning of paying for a service." It doesn't HAVE to be the meaning of paying for a service. I think you're pretty much gonna lose money, but if you want exposure, okay then. Maybe it's worth losing some. Which, if you're not making money on it, is it SO bad to use? Idk. You're right.
Crazy controversial.
But FB ads for example. You can use those as a service, but if you lose money, it means you're doing it wrong. You should be able to MAKE money with FB ads if you use them correctly. So in all instances, I don't think it's ALWAYS the meaning of paying for a service.
Hey @cryptosharon, I've been inactive for the last two weeks...because of work and real life in general. A few hours ago I published my first material since my blackout.
Anyhow, I still have to read and catch up from what you have written!
My personal take is your fictions and reflections. I find your prose really beautiful :)
Though, as a user has already stated, you should publish whatever you want and feel inspired.
Cheers and have a great day :)
Fill inspire -> feel inspired
Henlo, Alonso :) Welcome back! Thanks for the tips and the compliments. It seems that people here mentioned everything I already publish, so I guess that I should just continue the way I'm going hahaha. <3
Woops, thanks for the correction
I like the philisophical ones, but I think you should post about whatever you want! At the end of the day it most important that you enjoyed what you wrote, above everything else!
:) I will post whatever I want. :P But I wanted some feedback since I had literally never asked myself what people liked the most about my blog. Now I know that in general people like everything, lol, so I'll just keep walking on the same path.
This is a great realization to come to. As long as you enjoy what you're writing, I don't think the topic matters too much c;
Hiya Sharon
I've got hardly any time to read at the moment so I tend to gravitate towards subjects I'm really interested in. Your philosophy posts always hit the spot for me.
cheers
Hey, Anj! Thank you for coming by :) I'll make sure to write some of those in the future. Right now I'm in literary mode, so I'll be leaving at least one more story, and I have a few topics to touch that are more bloggy thanks to a challenge set by @dragosroua.
Cool. I'm the same... sometimes the creativity has to come out in other ways :D
I like the mix, and my favorites are the small stories, they are all very creative. And I'm also curious about Venezuela.
Alright, same as Mave. :P And you also make some short stories and tell tales about your surroundings, so I'd say that's your genre. I'll keep to stories then, and I'll look for topics about Venezuela that I can mention in my blog.
I was going to make a post about the great exodus a while ago, but I kinda left it without finishing and I've lost the draft since. It's a good topic.
I'm so glad you asked this question. I've actually been thinking about how much I enjoyed your "regular expression puzzle". If you came up with cryptography based puzzles or programming puzzles I would LOVE that. Just a thought. :)
Hahahah, you made me remember that one. I had totally forgotten it. I love those too :3 I love interacting and doing that kind of interesting stuff. Did we meet there?
When you spoke there, I actually didn't know you and I checked your profile, and until right now I had never associated that cool weird guy with you.
You see all you do adds value to the steem community, and don’t stop my dear friend . You’re a value added and you’re so much appreciated for that
Thank you :) I'll keep adding value and I won't stop.
All your posts have benefits. I will take time to read some of your post when I have free time. Thanks for sharing! Great job
Thank you! :) Alright. I'll wait for a comment later when you read a few posts and form an opinion about your favourite posts on my blog.
I think Steemit-related posts get more attention, but it doesn't need to be. I like the discussion oriented articles and I dread the photography posts.
Dread? Lol. I also think that the Steemit-related posts get a lot of attention. They're the most relatable topic on this platform after all. I think that they would do very well on the front-page, together with the discussion-oriented articles. They call users to interact a lot and that's really good.
I haven't made photography posts, though.
