Digital social networks are becoming a daily routine in user life. They are now a basic entry point for social interaction, content commitments and interaction in many forms. Today, an average teenager spends nine hours a day on social media platforms.
Most free social media platforms and most sell advertising, that is, your personal data. In fact, at no other time have companies exploited so much customer data and information, including knowledge about their behaviors, preferences, habits, connections, location and content, of what we see today. Log on to any social media site and you'll come across "targeted"advertising and marketing campaigns.
In addition, all these data are' centralized' i. e. there is an owner. That's why privacy concerns are so real and worrying that we'll leave that to Wikileaks.
Blockchain as a solution
Blockchain is a decentralized record that can be used to secure data.
Although other platforms (WhatsApp) claim to have End to end encryption, it is fundamentally insecure and all data can be interleaved with only a few commands in the console and remotely.
Blockchain-based social networks offer more than privacy, a value agreement (money) that you can use to buy content and pay for other services. Internal tokens, coins or cryptoactives that benefit communication between the data of this technology.
"Blockchain helps you gain better control of your own content."
And then we'll mention the best social blockchains in existence so far that you should should join. now.
FairCoin
It is the basic system of FairCoop - The Earth Co-operative for a Fair Economy.
(https://fair.coop). How can a blockchain based on a fair, resource-saving and decentralised cooperation test work?
This means that it is a protocol in which you are rewarded for your active participation within the faircoin network, and for this purpose it uses several democratic figures such as Faircoop, Bankof Commons etc.
Steemit
A peer-to-peer platform that remunerates content and secures data in a distributed manner so that the data added to steeemit software is not altered or changed.
What better application to accelerate the "age of knowledge" and to empower students from an early age with these sustainability channels!
Synereo
Synereo's care economy has grown dramatically and the number of WildSpark participants is increasing; rewards are accumulating in numerous WildSpark accounts.
And like any social network, as the community grows, more and more interactive actions will be added, such as the inclusion of social networks (facebook) and content media (instagram).
The future is bright and we can't wait to share more than it's waiting for us!
Nexus
Nexus has a focus where it seeks to decentralize many of the operations, including social media.
Its goal is to "eliminate any invasion of privacy that large corporations are currently carrying out. Secure authentication and anonymity are very useful for those in repressive regimes or where censorship is a problem.
That's why it has crowdfunding functionality which is a very powerful feature when combined with blockchain. In addition to donations and collective financing, Nexus can be used to buy and sell in the marketplace, it also has the option to purchase advertising space among other uses.
Finally as honorable mentions, we have Augur, Gnosis and Indorse!
Which social blockchain do you know or use frequently?
See you soon, fellows!

i did not know there are that many social blockchain coins other than steemit. I was thinking if Facebook is replaced by a next thing, it would be steemit. It seems that are competitors. Good to read!
