It turns out that social networks encourage young people to engage in their own bodies. According to the results of sociological surveys it was found that about half of young people, both boys and girls who regularly attend the gym, do it for the sake of the desire to boast an ideal figure in front of peers in the virtual space.
So the researchers of the University of East Anglia conducted a survey of young people. According to its results, it turned out that the influence of social networks on young people is so great that about half of sports guys and girls not only attend gyms, but also regularly perform exercises at home for the sake of one goal - it is beneficial to look at photos. And these photos are, of course, not in the home photo album, but on a personal page in social networks.

Among the interviewed young people, only 35% of respondents are engaged in sports for their own health. It is this part of the young population that cares about the correctness of nutrition, as well as the normalization of physical exertion on the body. It turns out that the influence of social networks on adolescents and young people is so great that they put the number of "likes" in the social network above their health.

And if more conscious and adult young people are so receptive to attention in social networks, then teenagers need to worry even more.

The influence of social networks on adolescents makes them not fully formed organisms to experience exhausting workouts and diets for one purpose like not a specific person, but like the entire virtual space. Such overwhelming tasks can psychologically break the young personality. A malnutrition only worsens the psychological and physical condition.

Although social networks influence young people and are positive in terms of the desire to develop physically, this desire should be moderate and sober, and not all-consuming. It is much more difficult for a young person to find a balance in training and nutrition in order to obtain the desired physical form.

Therefore, in this case, the role of coaches, parents, older brothers and friends is great, they can share their experience, and they will not allow to break health in the pursuit of an ideal from the cover of a glossy magazine.
