It's wonderful when your husband takes you to a nice restaurant, but it might feel even better to see your loved one sweat in the kitchen for your sake๐
I'm from Kz and it's not really common when a husband cooks in the family, but my father always cooked so to me it's quite unfair when I see my friends' husbands expect dinner on the table after their wives worked the whole day just as they did.Or when I hear from my twin sister who is 9 months pregnant that she is standing in front of the oven alone the whole day because they have guests to treat I'm getting a bit angry.If you don't cook or help cooking your wife then wash the dishes after, it's the least you can do from your part.
I believe in a perfect marriage,and in my perfect marriage man should cook for his wife and here's why:
โข Cooking for your wife will help you learn how to cook for your kids as well when your wife isn't around๐จโ๐งโ๐ฆ
โข Letting your wife sometimes crash on the sofa with a glass of wine while you do the job in the kitchen will make her fall in love with you again;)
โข Cooking a whole meal for your wife and yourself will show you how much time and powers it really takes to do that - you become more thankful of what she does everyday, she becomes more happy that you appreciate her cooking and not take it for granted๐ค
โข Cooking and helping your wife in the kitchen makes you a hero in her friends and relatives eyes, coz women brag ๐ So it's definitely extra points for you there๐
โข It's only FAIR to "occasionally" share the responsibility of cooking with your wife and make her happy ๐

I think you forgot to mention another very important aspect of why the man should learn to cook! ... for when the wife is soooo mad she says "cook your own dinner." You then cook or starve!

Yes, i saw your points. We men should cook for is not meant for women alone to do.
But unless something happens, women should be the one cooking and not the man. Because women will be careful and patient enough to do so unlike me.
Just few men measures in that.
Men should always help cooking and know how do it if they are alone as well, it's not fair that the woman does the cooking all the time;)
Those nachos look ace. I do more cooking around the house than my girlfriend. I actually enjoy it though. Quite a handy life skill!

lol this is both funny and sad! Men should definitely cook because there is no law or rule book that says cooking is a woman's 'thing.' It's just culture and culture is man-made and often favours men! In my family, most men cook and my husband cooks more than me and I do the dishes :) Tacos look yummy !

I wouldn't mind taking turns cooking if I had a wife, but since I don't have a wife I'll just cook for myself. :) I don't like to pay the high price of eating out.

I didn't say that I have excellent cooking skills, but the thought of women flying in like moths is a very entertaining thought. :) Now the thought of taking turns with a wife cooking might stir up a competition of cooking where when it is our turn we might secretly be looking up more and more exotic cooking styles just to show the other up. Can you believe such a competition? It would be a win, win for both of us. Also the children would want to learn such styles of cooking cause we would tell them stories that their future partner would expect them to share in the cooking and that they don't want to let him or her down as they are expecting them to cook well. Well at least I would sell that idea to them at an early age. This way I know that they won't starve if they don't make enough money to spend on a lot of going out to eat at restaurants.
@damira, I can't imagine having a husband that required me to cook because I'm not a very good cook and we would starve. And, the limited things I do cook (about 4 dishes), if I had to rotate them, we would get sick of eating it. So, yes, men, help cook!

I'm proud to say I do all the cooking. Its funny here in the States guys will do grilling and BBQ, but not cook in the kitchen.

All should know how to cook. So men too. There is no option to food everyone needs it so men should also know to cook it. :) I can cook some stuff but i am moody. Cooking and feeding people or family is very holy act. Women are lucky that they are good at it. Most of them. ^_^.
