Steemit is still my favourite platform of 2018

in #blog6 years ago

I have been driving a lot lately and when I am on the road I can't Steemit. There are some important things that every Steemit user needs to do regardless of their Steem Power or Rep.

  1. Upvote their followers posts. Read your followers stories and support them. Also, read the stories by the people who you follow. This curation activity is extremely important in a digital age where there is so much content to be overwhelmed with. We should all take at least 60 minutes a day to read and upvote eachothers posts. Without this, Steemit fails.

  2. Author great posts. This takes just as much time as curation, if not moreso. To take the time like I am here and at least make two points, and then to elaborate on them is extremely important. Creating quality content doesn't happen in a moment, it takes time and effort daily. And if not daily, at least weekly. Dead accounts happen when we spend too much time away, or we lose focus on what we are doing here.

Steemit now has over a million accounts, and when I joined there were still less than 100,000. The future of Steemit is bright if we work on the community aspect of this amazing website. I can't do it alone, and by no means am I suggesting that I am taking all the correct actions. It seems that making a Steem-worthy post daily is increasingly difficult, but thats just life. I have some personal goals I want to achieve over the next 90 days, taking me into the new year. These goals are important to me and require daily activity, writing and formulating my thoughts. Steemit is a great platform for that because we are encouraged to put a decent amount of effort or "proof of brain" into every single post.

Therefore to reach my personal writing goals I am going to recommit to at least 60 minutes per day on Steemit. I have to make the time, in order to find the time. I have to take the moments to sit and write, otherwise the time slips through my fingers. Don't let your life pass you by, over the next year, take the time to Steem posts and also to share Steemit with your friends! Help onboard new users to this incredibly powerful creative platform.

You are absolutely right. Since I became a member of Steemit, this May, I wrote only a couple of blog posts and then I forgot about it. I really like Steemit, I just haven't incorporated it in my daily routine, there are a lot of interesting things going on here. It's a bit overwhelming - it's so much content. This is for the first time since long that I went to Steemit again, and then I saw this. Thanks for the reminder!!

I agree on that point that is important to engage and take the time to read the post of other users!
Have a good Saturday!
