RE: Typical Saturday - Podcasts and Coffee

in #blog6 years ago

podcasts are very much like radio shows but accessible through the internet...

there are two ways to listen..

  1. on the site, you can usually just click a button and it will play the audio file. the files can be stored anywhere, but are often stored on a site like soundcloud

  2. some places like the apple app website have a library that will allow you to download the audio to your phone..

For example.. here is a link to a site that has some fun podcasts a friend does: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/personalbest

has a link on the page that will play the audio in your browser.and one of them: https://www.cbc.ca/radio/personalbest/how-to-high-five-yourself-1.4533055

I'm going to leave the full links up so you can see the path..

One of the classics, this american life, was a radio show that is now a podcast as well..

about car salesmenthis is a good one: https://www.thisamericanlife.org/513/129-cars

and this one is one of my favs cause it's so weird..

about a belt buckle.. https://www.gimletmedia.com/mystery-show/case-3-belt-buckle

that last one, you can see, has a soundcloud file embedded in it, but you can see also that at the top you downloud using spotify or some app called apple podcasts.
