RE: 5 freaking reasons to leave steemit

in #blog7 years ago

Friend. Let's do some study on your account.

  • You have more bot votes than your organic votes each time you put up a post

  • You have some organic votes, majority of them (shall I say us, I'm 1 of them) came for the curation reward as they(we) are expecting you to purchase bid bot votes

  • Take the total number of comments on your post, divide it by 3, that's about the number of people really engaged with you. Many of a time, 1 single users will have multiple comments.

Anyway, that's my own perspective. Or may be I have higher expectation in terms of "engagement". But generally, that is also partly my own problem because my topic doesn't really fit the general category of Steemit discussion, which majority in crypto related.

Hi Dave

Indeed I used every possible method to promote my content here and reward all curators as much as I can. I tried to do the same with facebook.

If I use same content here and on FB and I will spent same amount of time and resources on both, then results will be very different.

All your points are pretty much (more or less) correct. But again: look at my posts about crowd machine or latest contest (around 30 people were commenting). Reading comments alone can take half an hour or even more.

For that reason I still believe Steemit rocks! Could I achieve with other social media platforms? Not really. Those comments = real engagement.

Dont get me wrong. Im not bragging about my skills / luck etc. It just it look like you're losing your spirit and I hope I can point out some reasons to make you believe in steemit again.

The problem is that you're huge expectations. I've been working as a social media marketer for quite some time and whenever Im talking to a client then Im explaining that if 2-5% of his followers will be genuine and engaging then it's already great result.

So if for each 100 followers 2-5 are engaging with you then it's a good result already.

Got your point there. Perhaps I need another account for crypto talks. Hehe.
