You bring up a very interesting point. Not only does it depict a stereotype that does not tell the whole story. It takes advantage of donor's emotions, even if just temporarily. The organizations that put these advertisements together are not concerned about the state of a nation. If they were concerned they would relay their message more organically instead of paying a large sum of money for a TV add to run 5 times a day at peak hours.
The goal of these organizations is to collect money so that they can send it up the chain and what little remains they pass along to the actual cause of the charity. So much needs to be restructured with philanthropy and helping of our fellow human beings.
The blockchain can give transparency to both organizations and those offering the donations. When a donation is made, you should be able to see where it is going and how it is going to help the cause you believe you are supporting.
You opened my eyes to yet another troublesome fact about how business is conducted. Problem solvers are out there. Identifying the problem is the first step to finding a cure. Thank you so much for sharing.
