I have a love of exotic things and foreign places and cultures that can only be matched by my fervor for comics, heavy metal and fetish porn. (Oh, god! I sound some bourgeois liberal) So as a consequence of that I have this one big thing in my bucket list (apart from my perfectly reasonable dream of getting whipped by Rihanna) and that is to travel.
I've never gone anywhere outside my state of Gauteng. I'm not sure I've even been outside the city. But, oh boy, I'd give my left testicle to traverse the world and see the awesomeness that lay beyond my little surburn and city.
1. One of thoses place that I've dreamt of visiting is Paris.
Living aside that fact that it see one of the most gorgeous city out there that there is, it has a spiritual significance in my life in that it is the birth place of modern democracy and revolution. It was here that the common man first took his grievances to power and said "non" and spoke the credo of "Liberté, Equalité, Fraternité " . (How bad is my french. You'd let me if it was bad, wouldn't you).
2. Then I'd move on to Germany.
The home of my two favourite philosopher; Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel and (don't give me that fucking look) Karl Marx. But most importantly is the fact that one of the greatest bands that have ever set the heel of their feet of the ground come from here...
The one and only Rammstein
<iframe width="854" height="480" src="
frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>It'd be a added bonus if I saw them in their birthplace.
3. Last but definitely not least, the US of A.
What's not to like about the those United States of America (Of course this is not a political post so I'll limit my submission within the borders of admiration and cool things about those chaps). They have almost everything from the best tech dev to the best fast food and television. But that comes secondary to me.
I would mostly be there to see a certain lady...
Lady Liberty.
I often image what it's like have such a beautiful symbol almost looking out as if surveying and making such everything is right with the country. It must be a breathe taking sight to behold.
Please don't forget to upvote if you liked this excuse of a blog and others too. Otherwise... As you were.
I would love to go to Paris ^_^
It seems so surreal to even imagine for a moment one so far removed could sit out on some balcony and look to the Eiffel Tower.
