I'm glad to hear it worked out for you, after the various false starts.
I'm still not sure if I'm going to use the face-to-face thing to exchange BTC for fiat... but I am not as concerned about staying in cash since I mix the BTC via PayPal transactions in with 100's of other transactions that run through from my businesses.
That said, we're heading over to Denmark for vacation next year and it'll be interesting to see about exchanging BTC for local fiat over there in what (I assume) is a more Bitcoin friendly part of the world.
