In July, one of the highest suspension bridges in the world was opened on the Dachstein glacier in Austria. From it you can admire the picturesque peaks of the Alps.
Sands SkyPark, Singapore
Singapore has long enjoyed the world with its incredible hotels with rooftop pools and breathtaking views. This time it was decided to take the size: in 2010, on the roof of the hotel (or rather, 3 buildings), Marina Bay Sands opened one of the most extensive viewing platforms in Asia. Its area is 12-400 meters. On the territory of this "modest" there are cafes, a park and a 150-meter swimming pool - where is it without it. The site can not only guests of the hotel, but also mere mortals - you just need to follow the signs on the hotel grounds. Needless to say, amazing views are opened at night.
Ericsson Globe, Sweden
Technology Swedes, without thinking twice, otgrohali a sports palace in the form of a ball, which suddenly turned out to be the largest spherical structure in the world. On this they did not calm down and in 2010 they attached to it another mobile viewing platform SkyView, also in the form of balls, but smaller in diameter. In general, the design resembles a cut-down solar system, where around the globe of the Ericsson Globe revolve 2 glass planets with a capacity of 16 people each. The maximum height they climb is 130 meters - an excellent point to catch the entire landscape of the city. The session of such space travel lasts 20 minutes, or 2 honorary circles. Possible tour with champagne (apparently for courage).
Fingers Viewing Platform, Austria
A vigorous creative concept of a viewing platform in the shape of a palm corresponds to its purpose. All the Alps are visible, as in the palm of your hand.
The way to it is a separate entertainment: you need to change several cable cars, and some people and pants. But it's worth it! Panorama is amazing - a huge open space and views from which the head starts spinning in the literal and figurative sense of the word. Each of the five "fingers" has its own special chip, one has a glass one, the other has a telescope for the most meticulous spectators, in the third there is a special picture frame for photographing, etc. The design itself is metal, small in size and cute hanging over the abyss on height of 400 m.
Il binocolo, Italy
The designer fad from architect Matteo Thun is located in one of the most beautiful botanical gardens of Italy with the non-Italian name Trauttmansdorff. The name of the viewing platform is translated as "binoculars", which fully corresponds to the shape of the construction, which ends with a small roof "roof". The object itself looks flimsy, like some element of a child's designer, suspended from a string to the support. But the views are certainly luxurious - hills, vineyards, famous gardens with incredible plants and landscapes, houses with a tiled roof, and of course, the castle itself.
Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk, Australia
"Green" and the fans of the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" is dedicated. No less, and a walk through the tops of trees. Near the village of Robertson in the Southern Highlands among the rainforest is an amazing attraction - Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk. This metal structure is located at a height of 25 meters above the ground and represents a kind of forest path length of 500 meters, which is laid along the tops of ancient trees. The sensations are stunning: the primeval beauty of nature, the sea views of the coast from the city of Kiama to Shellharbour and complete seclusion.
Auckland's Sky Tower, New Zealand
The Sky Towe r in Oakland is the tallest structure in the southern hemisphere. In its arsenal are three observation platforms located at different levels, as well as a restaurant that rotates around its axis, so that visitors can admire the panorama without stopping from the contents of the plates.
In figures, the tower also looks beautiful. The height is 328 meters. The construction itself consists of 2000 tons of steel reinforcement, 660 tons of metal structures and 15,000 cubic meters of concrete. It can withstand winds at speeds of up to 200 km / h and an earthquake up to 8 points on the Richter scale. Scary Sauron of "The Lord of the Rings" would die of envy. The highest point and the best viewing platform in 360 degrees is Sky Deck. It is fully glazed and offers incredible views of 80 km around. To whom this for adrenaline is not enough, you can jump from the bungee. The speed of the fall will be somewhere 82 km / h, at the same time and cheer up.
Dachstein Sky Walk, Austria
Poets? Aborigines romantically call this observation deck a "balcony in the Alps." Very industrial such a balcony turned out, as if you are hanging in a building cradle at 2700 m above sea level. The winds are crazy here, but the playground is firmly embedded in the sheer rock of Honkerkogel and represents a 360-degree panoramic panorama of snowy alpine peaks.
Lookout on the Iguazu Falls, Brazil
Waterfalls itself are a spectacular roof, and the powerful streams of water that stretch to 2 countries (Brazil and Argentina) and are surrounded by bright tropical greens - immediately lead to sacred photographic ecstasy.
To fully appreciate the entire strength of nature, it is certainly worth a stroll through the unique observation bridge, which stands on special supports in the midst of the seething elements. Splashes of water on the face, noise in the ears and contemplation of the streams, falling from 80 meters, perfectly cleanses the mind and cleanses the soul. On a sunny day, you can see a giant rainbow.
Grand Canyon Skywalk, United States
This horseshoe-shaped observation deck, hanging in the air at an altitude of about 1200 meters and receding into the abyss of the Grand Canyon by 20 meters, is definitely not a test for the faint-hearted. Its walls and floor consist of a durable glass 10 cm thick. Visitors even get special socks to avoid scratching the cover. If you have the heart to open your eyes, you can admire the Martian species right under your feet.
The creators of this miracle declared it a breakthrough in engineering and assure that the design can withstand a weight of up to 70 tons (where it is 14 African elephants). But all the same on hamburgers before visiting Grand Canyon Skywalk to leam it is not necessary. Stomach as it is strangely begins to wrap up with the contents.
Aurland Lookout, Norway
How, then once instructed architects Todd Saunders and Tommy Wilhelmsen to create a scenic observation deck at an altitude of 600 meters above the Orland place with a view of one of the most beautiful fjords in Norway. They came up with an amazing wooden structure, more like a giant part of some table from the Ikea store, and without straining won the first prize in the competition of the best tourist routes in Norway.
The platform is a springboard, which is rounded at the end and passes into its support. But suicidal skiers should not be excited, the end of this "springboard" is closed with a durable glass. The glass is so clean that you can not see it at all, and this fact tickles nerves if you go to the very end.
