RE: Future Generations Probably Won't Feed Our Beloved Political Parasites by Voting

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

Is it voting season again? I haven't been on facebook lately (where I usually find out about 'current events' lol) though I wasn't intentionally avoiding it- but now I probably will. Or maybe I'll take a peek to see what's being said, then avoid it ;)

I did end up showing you that one song of my brother's I knew you'd like right? It has this line: I lost my faith in politics just a couple years ago, and I don't vote anymore, I don't believe in it anymore'. I sing it at people when they ask me if I'm voting haha.

EDIT: Though my favorite line is actually: I get the news secondhand from the people that I know, but I don't care anymore, I won't feel hopeless anymore.

Sort:

I do remember that song, and the lines are rich indeed. I've been peering into the group mind again lately, looking for material, and saw where they were begging young people to register, etc. I laughed about it a little because these kids today know better than to encourage bad behavior by voting for people who seriously wear suits and ties.

Many of them do, not all as was evidenced by the hot chocolate and coloring book time they had in colleges after the last election. Sheesh, that was ridiculous, 18+ behaving and being treated like toddlers, calling it trauma counseling because The Donald won. I felt very worried about us at that point!

The good news about those 18+ toddlers in college is; fewer people are attending colleges these days, and of the ones who do go to school, only a portion of them are attracting the media for their outrageous Donald-related stunts. With the internet around, paying for most modern university courses is probably stupid anyway, so college students are losing their credibility right away with that. I do worry about some of those public weepers though. I wonder if there's something in the tattoo ink, as I predicted years ago...
