About a thousand crypto projects are already dead

in #blog6 years ago

Another proof of how carefully you need to approach the choice of the project for investment.

The authoritative websites of Coinopsy and Deadcoins counted the number of already closed crypto-currency projects and came to the conclusion that the amount exceeded one thousand.

In the list there were a lot of projects:

1. those who could not even develop anything; those who did not intend to do it;

2.just frank scammers;

3.projects that regulators of different countries are interested in (especially the SEC). And so on.

  •  On DeadCoins, all the frozen cryptprojects are sorted bycategories: deceased, scam, parody (frankly sarcastic) andhacking (the list is empty so far). Users can add their own frozencrypto-projects to the site themselves.
  • On Coinopsy projects are represented by a single list, which has alittle more than 250 pieces, and are sorted alphabetically. Youheard about some of them, and in some of them you could eveninvest.

The most interesting thing is that all these projects in total managed to collect about three billion US dollars!

And this trend will continue until most investors become more experienced and more scrupulous.

Of the interesting reasons for the closure of projects, in addition to the classic flight of the founders and the "hacker attacks that all stole", the original can be called "the death of the authors of the project." No matter how true this is, no one will ever know.

In principle, this again proves that the ICO market is teeming with fraudsters and really interesting, useful and innovative projects are no more than 10%.

Interesting article... there are scammers in every business that could make money... why would they not be in crypto. You have to keep your eyes an ears open for those things as well!
