I went for a walk today with a couple of mum friends who have babies around the same age as mine. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon.

They both have dogs too and brought them along, so my dog was delighted to have a walk and a play.

The weather was fantastic, for being in the middle of winter. The sun was shining, there were no clouds and no wind. It was beautiful.
It was about a 6.5km walk along the lake. I'm pleased we got out and got some well needed vitamin D which isn't so easy to get in winter. I hope to do it again soon.

It was lovely, the conversation was good, the dogs were excited and the babies were mostly content too. The weather here is really nice in winter after a good frost. Was -3 degrees Celsius this morning but usually a beautiful day follows after that kind of frost. Still frozen ice puddles along the track too.

I know. I'm really thankful that this is the country I was born in. It is stunning. I bet it's beautiful up your way too. Can't go too far in NZ without seeing great views.
Yeah, Tauranga's alright but we dont really have anything much like this.
