Hey dear community, first of all I would like to welcome you all to my new post and hope you had a day that was full of positive experiences! Today I would like to talk about alchemy and hope you are able to expand your knowledge a little.
Here are some pictures of different specimens of minerals and I would like to specifically discuss the meaning of Rebis, which is originally derived from the Latin of the word Bina, which means two. As the name already suggests, it is in principle about alchemical steps in which two substances are being connected to each other in order to obtain a higher result. In numerous old alchemical works there is talk of the Rebis and in the works often the female as well as the male aspects are often depicted and this principle is often associated with mythology and often the Rebis is also represented as a union of two gods from mythology. This association is also often associated with the alchemical wedding and in alchemy it often happens that things are associated with mythology and this can also be considered as a reformulation for the principle of the union of two different metals. In focus of the Rebis are also various properties of the materials such as moist as well as dry, light or dark and can also be associated with flowing transitions and the union of opposites is an important step for awakening the higher self. From a psychological point of view, it can also be considered with the connection of the conscious and the subconscious and has also strongly shaped the spiritual side of alchemy and the general understanding of the Rebis is an important principle that can often be found alchemy and is of great importance for the creation of the philosopher's stone and it is also one of the best-known symbols in alchemy.
Thanks a lot for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about alchemy! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens!

Alchemical wedding, it sounds interesting, when you talk about the philosopher's stone I remember the Harry Potter movie, I thought it was just science fiction and now I see that it is reality, what you explain in your post is interesting, the union of opposites, that also me It draws attention, I think of people who meet, fall in love and get married, they say that they complement each other and generally it is like that, if they are somewhat different it is better than being similar, the marriage would be somewhat dull :)
That’s true, movies are full of symbolism and this is a good example that you mentioned :) The principle of these contrasts can be seen pretty much everywhere and I’m glad that you are also more interested in alchemy!
Nice informative
Thanks :)
