Hey everyone, I hope you had a positive start to the new week and the month and you are all doing well! In this article I would like to present some pictures of a magnificent animal and hope you can learn new things.
You can see here some pictures of Canada geese which also under the Scientific name Branta canadensis and has been named after its original homeland and over the centuries, it has also spread to other continents over the centuries and is one of the most widespread species of geese worldwide. In Europe, it became widespread during the 17th century where it was at the beginning particularly popular in England and had quickly developed into a status symbol there which was also highly appreciated by the royal family and over time, it became more and more a tradition in other countries to keep these animals. In Canada it is a typical symbol that represents the diversity of nature and appears in mythology where it has an important meaning in various fairy tales or legends and is considered there as a mystical being which probably already had an important meaning among the natives. It fits well that it's considered a sign of nature because it's also extremely useful from an ecological point of view and by eating seeds of plants also helps in the distribution and preservation of diversity and thus also benefits other organisms. Also in art it has developed into an important symbol and can be admired as a logo in various areas and sometimes it is also linked to transformation and also the typical black and white colors can be associated with the principle of duality. It is typical to find Canada geese in their natural habitat near waters and these kind of goose can fly, but stay in their home country in winter.
Many thanks for stopping by and I hope you could learn something new about this exciting topic! I captured these pictures with my Camera Sony Alpha 6000 plus 55-210 mm lens.
I have heard so much about the Canadian geese and you have captured it very beautifully, I love the stories too! 😁
Glad to hear :) Did you already had the opportunity to see some in real?
Not yet, but hopefully some day!
Hope you have the opportunity in the future! :)
Canada Geese is a beautiful bird, I like to eat its meat
Thanks for your comment
What you say about it being able to fly is interesting. I also like what you say about duality, black and white, this reminds me of a question that is always asked : ¿Are zebras white animals with black stripes or vice versa? I think they are white with black stripes.¿ What do you say?
I wish you a happy start to the week.
I'm glad you like my contribution :) I think the whole color spectrum makes it, it are more animals that have a similar symbolic meaning as the stork, which is also connected with the principle of duality. Wish you the same and happy to hear from you @lupega
