RE: A Beautiful Sublime Sunday At McCormick's Creek State Park

in #blog7 years ago

Coming across a find like that is always exciting. I’m always a bit noisy as well and want peak inside and see what was left. Leaving with thoughts like “what did they do before”, and “what was there every day life like.” That must have been some extreme remote living off the land.

I’ve come across a couple of those when is as younger and in the scouts. We be backpacking and come across some left over building or something to show someone once live there. They never let us get near them for “safety” and I’m sure they didn’t want a bunch of boys to cause any damage. Sometimes you could tell some very disrespectful people had found the place. For whatever reason people seem to be into taking souvenir that are left behind. I prefer myself to just leave a place as it was. So others can one day enjoy finding the same thing.

I would have loved a better look into the Spring House but it was dark in there and they had a padlock on it. I'm with you and want to leave these places as I found them. :D
