Hey everyone! A month has passed again, although it's a short month. But I'm thinking a monthly personal update is in order. Monthly feels like just the right amount of time for these kinds of things. Let's see how I did!
Here is my update from last month. I have the following comparisons:
- Writing daily has slipped a few days. I'm actually okay with it, as long as I can still make it a habit. Also, I don't want to force it. I'm anyway interacting a lot on Steemit and in communities daily.
- After participating in the @coachjj Burpee Challenge, I switched to doing 50 burpees a day, and that's been going pretty well. I can do maybe 20 before I'm breathing heavily and need to take a break. Compared to the pushups, crunches and squats, this feels like much more cardio. And just recently I signed up for the Situp Challenge. Can't get enough I guess. In terms of measuring progress, I'm happy with the results:
Last Month | Current |
---|---|
- Since last time, I've played with coding for Steem related projects. This led to me contributing to showing payout breakdowns here, and also to helping create voting scripts to automate certain tasks done by the @bumper project. Some nice progress there.
- In terms of reading goals, I started reading The Girl Who Played With Fire. It's already getting quite exciting within the first chapter. Also as I've followed more people I've been having a lot of material to catch up on every day.
- I've recorded a video of myself to push myself out of my comfort zone a bit. One of my goals is to improve my presentation voice, as well as record more content, possibly guides and showing off various apps.
- I also participated in my first contest, after avoiding them thus far. I'll be keeping an eye on these because it does foster creativity when I'm out of ideas. Maybe I'll fund one too sometime.
Reflections
I'm excited for it to get warmer as Spring slowly wanders in. I hear there's one of those cold storms coming in. But I will soon be able to do possibly some running outside (with Opal! woof). And earn them Sweatcoins.
Also hoping to do more coding projects involving Steem, and also investigate a bit more about movements at the top. Everyone's talking about shady dealings, and it would be good to come up with dashboards that can continuously monitor certain forms of abuse.
So by next time, I'll add to the mix:
- Make another improvement to the Steemit website.
- Dashboard for forms of abuse monitoring.
- Creating first contest of some sort. Likely math related.
- Record another video.
Until next update!
Great progress Evan! I know you've been busy and about and your doing well in whatever you do... ♥♥ I'm not going to promise on the math contest though. Hahahah I'll just give tons of moral support on that contest. ♥
I'll be sure to make it fun!
That's awesome, Eon. You've achieved so much in this month.
I like the idea of you doing guides and reviewing apps. Looking forward to that a lot. It's really helpful when someone walks you through these things.
You've done a great job with the muscle mass!
Yes, the competitions are great for inspiration. I'm hooked on them at the mo. Maths contest! Excellent opportunity for me to show how inept I am in that dept. :P
Yeah, though I'm not sure if those numbers really mean anything. I'll take it though :D.
The numbers look like you're changing your body composition in a positive direction to me :D
You are almost knocking all your goals. That's great.
Will be waiting for that maths contest.
You have some great goals for this month...
Would love to see and hear more from you :)
Even if February was a short month (and included the Lunar New Year) it sounds like you got lots accomplished. Keep moving forward man!
Say what a math contest? I took math in college but i'll be damned if I remember anything haha. Lots of good goals and progress! Great work ♡
