I am actually writing on something which would be to split into at least three parts. Once finished, I am not sure what will happen to that text. The last ones, equally thought through, changed, re-written or reconsidered, did not make it. ... I don't know. Once I am done with those works, it somehow seems unnecessary to publish them... Have you had similar experiences with your writings?
Before Steemit, I wrote almost exclusively for my hard drive.
It has also happened to me, usually with very long or very complex publications, I prefer to save that for myself and see what to do with it later. I have the same experience as you.
Although I never wrote to myself, I have been thinking about doing it, at a time when I get inspiration for example and it doesn't seem appropriate to publish it on Steemit.
