Detective Jameson sat at his desk, staring at the stack of files in front of him. The case was going cold, and he was no closer to catching the killers. The latest victim, a young woman named Sarah, had been found in an alleyway just a few blocks from the police station.

As he poured over the evidence, Jameson's mind kept wandering back to his own family. His children, Emily and Ryan, were good kids, but they had always been a bit...off. Emily, his daughter, had a fascination with death and the darker side of life. And Ryan, his son, had a temper that could flare up at any moment.

Jameson pushed the thoughts aside, focusing on the case at hand. But as he delved deeper into the evidence, he began to notice a strange coincidence. The killings all seemed to take place in areas where Emily and Ryan had been known to frequent.

At first, Jameson dismissed the idea as ridiculous. His own children, serial killers? It was absurd. But as the evidence mounted, he couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

One night, Jameson decided to pay a visit to his children's apartment. He arrived just as they were finishing up a meal. Emily and Ryan exchanged a nervous glance, but Jameson just smiled and asked if he could come in.

As he sat down at the table, Jameson noticed that Emily and Ryan seemed...different. They were both pale, and their eyes seemed to be gleaming with an otherworldly intensity.

"So, kids," Jameson said, trying to sound casual. "I've been working on this case, and I was wondering if you'd seen or heard anything suspicious lately."

Emily and Ryan exchanged another nervous glance, and for a moment, Jameson thought he saw something flicker in their eyes. Something dark, and sinister.

But then, Emily smiled, and Ryan laughed, and Jameson told himself he was just being paranoid.

It wasn't until later, when Jameson was searching through Emily and Ryan's apartment, that he stumbled upon the evidence he had been searching for. A hidden room, filled with trophies from their victims. A journal, detailing their crimes.

Jameson felt like he had been punched in the gut. His own children, serial killers. He couldn't believe it.

As he stood there, frozen in shock, Emily and Ryan emerged from the shadows. They were smiling, and their eyes seemed to be gleaming with an otherworldly intensity.

"Hi, Dad," Emily said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "We've been expecting you."

Jameson tried to speak, but his voice was caught in his throat. He tried to move, but his legs seemed rooted to the spot.

Ryan took a step forward, a cruel smile spreading across his face. "You're a smart man, Dad," he said. "But you're not smart enough to catch us."

And with that, Emily and Ryan attacked. Jameson tried to defend himself, but he was no match for his own children. They overpowered him, and then...they silenced him.

As the police searched for Jameson, Emily and Ryan were busy covering their tracks. They destroyed the evidence, and they made sure that no one would ever suspect them of their father's murder.

And as they walked away from the crime scene, hand in hand, Emily turned to Ryan and smiled.

"We make a good team, don't we?" she said.

Ryan smiled back, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity.

"The best team," he said.
