Petronas Twin Towers

in #blog8 years ago (edited)

Petronas Twin Towers are the tallest twin towers in the World. These magnificent twin skyscrapers are located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The architecture is out of this world! From 1998-2004 they were the tallest buildings in the world. In 2004 The Taipei 101 replaced the Petronas Twin Towers as the world's tallest building. The Willis Tower and the World Trade Center each had 110 occupied floors. This is in comparison to the 88 floors of the Petronas Twin Towers. Because of the different style of the spires, they were measured differently.

The grounds of the Petronas Twin Towers occupies 17 acres. Surrounding the towers is the KLCC Park. The park has many jogging and walking paths, as well as a children’s playground. It is complete with several wading pools. The children's playground is one of the largest in Malaysia. It is a delightful experience for children of all ages.

Located in the center of the park is an outstanding fountain. This fountain is a delight at all times. If possible to pass by at night, you will be in for a surprise. It has one of the nicest light shows in all of Malaysia.

One of the features of the Twin Towers is the double-decker sky bridge. It connects the Twin Towels on the 41st and 42 floors of the Towers. It is the tallest double-decker bridge in the world. In the case of an emergency in one tower, the occupants can be evacuated to the other tower. However, as we learned on 9/11/2001, if both towers need to be evacuated at the same time, this safety feature would be of little use.

Visitors to the tower can see the awesome view of the city of Kuala Lumpur from the skybridge and the observation deck. The view of the city and the valley beyond is beyond is breathtaking. There are building and grounds tours, a first class observation deck, and a large gift shop. Tickets can be bought at the information booth on site.

The easiest way to get to Petronas Twin Towers is by train. It can be reached from anywhere in the valley. Get off at KLCC Station (KJ10).

That's what they said until they get caught.

Malaysia is very beautiful and an excellent adventure.

This is a great area to start from since you can hire a taxi for a day, and have someone drive you all around to the major highlights.

I love the food in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia :))
