RE: What the Bleepity-Bleep is a Blog For?

in #blog6 years ago (edited)

I've been blogging on WordPress for a few years and the oomph ran out. I had developed a few blog pals and followed some awesome blogs, but I really didn't like some of the trolls and there was not the sense of community that one gets on Steemit. I do have to say, though, that the Steemit communities are because of the role of Discord and other "off-platform" mechanisms for engaging and communicating in a way that's not ok on a more public platform. I also hoped that I might develop a different (not professional) voice with a vew to monetising my blog and picking up writing or editing gigs. That didn't happen. So now, I'd rather be on @steemit and see how things unfold. Even a small number of dustvotes....pennies and pounds....

If I could only earn £30 a day from my writing I'd be comfortable and could do the things that I want to and not have to worry about UC

You and me, both! That would be just perfect.
