You heard it right folks, This impossible feat has been achieved and it has resulted in one delicious brew that can be enjoyed by, vegans who are caffeine sensitive, or those who want to (or have to) give up coffee, or by anyone really!
It’s a grain based coffee with almond milk and dates, that you need to try right away.
Recipe:-
almonds ¼ cup
safed vatana (dry white peas) ½ cup
dates 4-6
1. Soak the almonds and keep it in the refrigerator overnight.
2. Next day, puree the almonds with 2 dates, gradually adding 1 cup of water in stages and strain with a muslin cloth. Keep this almond milk aside.
3. Dry-roast the safed vatana for 15 minutes on a slow flame until golden brown on all sides. Cool and grind to a fine powder.
4. In a blender, add the almond milk, few dates, 1 tbsp of ground vatana, and a few ice-cubes. Blend until smooth.
Serve chilled in a tall glass and enjoy.
