Shallow Thoughts
The harvest has begun. We have the following planted in our garden now:
- 1 Orange Frost Satsuma (citrus fruit)
- 1 Sun Sugar Cherry Tomato
- 1 Husky Red Cherry Tomato
- 3 Okra
- 1 mild halepeno
- 1 hot banana pepper
- 2 unknown bean plants (swiped the seeds from another gardener in the neighborhood)
- sunflowers. . . don't know how many, my wife just kept planting them. . .
Nothing beats sharing the joy of the harvest with my children:
Deep Thoughts
I saw some pretty shocking content on my Twitter feed today. . . for the most part I've tried to keep it light and inspirational, but I'm trying to test my ability to read and comprehend opposing views without taking them on as my own. But I guess I found my limit today, and I'll be checking out of that feed for a while.
It's for the best, I'm at a point now where there isn't really much more knowledge to be gained from it. I know my political leanings and I know that voting is significantly more effective than ranting into the ether, so there's no need to partake. The "culture wars" have gotten bizarre. The alpha-men vs feminists holy war has gotten ridiculous.
I'll just focus on taking care of my family, growing my money, growing my vegetables, and sharing my thoughts with whoever chooses to stop by and listen.

First of all I want to greet you for a long time without knowing about you!
I love the idea of planting in your garden a very effective way to give life to nature from our house, I think it's great! On the other hand I am curious to know what feed you saw on twitter, you talk about politics and that you prefer to vote and that is the most effective way to participate and it really is like that! but I do not know if you know what happened just on Sunday in my country venezuela totally fraudulent elections and there many of us did not decide to vote was to lose our vote ... but great thinking live for your family and grow economically! Good night my friend:)
Good to see you again! What I saw on Twitter today wasn't particularly offensive. . . I've been feeling this way about most social media for a while, and this was just the saw that broke the camel's back. Everyone sees their "enemy" as a caricature instead of a 3-dimensional person, and every argument requires that both side take the most extreme position possible instead of finding a practical middle ground. Quite honestly, it's exhausting, and I don't have the energy for it.
Fortunately a vote in the US does still technically matter, and I'm really sorry that yours has been taken away. I just hope we can maintain enough sanity in the American government that our democracy doesn't rot from the inside.
You have all the right in these times social networks have become a little abrupt, because we are not aware of what we often think without knowing if we harm the other person's susceptibility I hope this can change because it is not a good path ...
God forbid it does not happen in your country would be very sad to know that your opinion your VOTE does not mean anything because in the same way they will cheat to get away with it ... it is like paddling against the current! I just want my country to get out of this as soon as possible.
your philosophy of life is wise, sometimes in a little more important to focus on the primordial of our lives and to heal our mind, than to collapse for things that are not in our hands. I wish good and success for you and what a nice girl you have. dog kisses for everyone.❤🍃💫🐕
That's so awesome that you are getting your children involved in harvesting :) oh and totally agree with your bonus thought that a short workout is always better than no work out.. haha i should take your advise :P
U r back in from busy life..!
The plants were missing u, i guess.. :D The most positive thing about ur gardening is u r passing the joy of being with the nature to the younger ones. They r growing up with the hobby of gardening and growing their own foods..!
And about the culture thing, we might be passing a very critical time of our civilization... Lets just do our best to keep things together and build a happier future..
God bless..!
