A decision I have been postponing it for a while. I have an old channel with very less content and didn't really gave it enough time. But I have been working on it in the past days to make it look more professional and have more content. Youtube is changing a lot of things in 2020 and if you didn't join yet, maybe you should do it.
I am writing this post while learning myself. I did a lot of research in the last days and watched many videos. There are many things I didn't know about Youtube, but I am glad I have done this step. I will be sharing with you everything I learned and still learning in the next weeks.
So why should you start a Youtube channel this year? Well, you don't have to be great to start, but you need to start to be great. Did you hear that before? That's the way it is. Youtube looks like a big ocean with only some big whales mastering the game. But they were also small fishes like you are now. It took them years of work to become what they are today.
By joining Steemit you became already a creator. You learned how to make content, blogs, photos, and videos. The first step is already done and you might have even shared some videos on Youtube already to express your creativity. It is a way to develop new skills and help you grow. It forces you to level up and learn many things like video editing, being comfortable in front of the camera, making thumbnails and working with SEO. You start looking for ways to make your work perfect. You will become more confident and learn a lot in the process while getting discovered.
Youtube is the 2nd biggest search engine in the world. If you have a business or planning to start one, it will help you drive traffic and awareness to your business. You can also make money with Youtube and build a community. Share your passion and help others. So start practicing and create content. I will share more information in the next post :)
Go for it!!!
Already working on it. A lot of work, but worth it :)
I think you are safe because you make good content and you are outside the U.S. But the new youtubes laws are crazy and will be hard to interpret for some. I'm going to make a post about it.
I heard they are removing many channels. I am still a beginner :(
I think you will be relatively safe? Because you don't typically curse a lot and cover controversial topics. Which channels are they removing, do you know?
Also, the communist government of the United Snakes will not bother someone outside the U.S. for a simple video or two.
Sis , I have a channel there... I'm so excited for youuuuuu... I also started like that.. first Steemit..here was where I got a real community I feel then as god guided me .. I started a YouTube channel.. I'm Ashley4Christ Vlogs on YouTube.. I was so shy and feeling so weird in the beginning now it has been one year .. I had left Steemit to go to YouTube..now I am back here .. yesterday..so excited sis .
This is my channel sis
Oh thats great! I think everybody is shy at the beginning, but then you get used to it. You can also post your Youtube content on DTube. Did you know about it?
I just subscribed to your channel and this is mine if you like cats :D

I'm not a video content producer, so I will keep away from it. Are you going to do it?
Yes already started making cats videos as usual. Will share them on DTube as well :)
Nice post! I also started to be active on Youtube again after almost one year. It´s not about earning money or to recieve a lot of clicks, it´s just to collect a selection of my favourite videos in the last years for myself and to make my travel Vlogs accessible to people who are interested in travel content outside of Steemit/Dtube. If you like, you can follow my Youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/Allindex1
You are also welcome to share your channel to me here and I will follow you too.
Best regards from Germany!
Jonas
Oh thats great! If you watch your videos after 10 years again, you would think it was worth the hard work. Everything remains as nice memories :)
I just subscribed to your channel. Mine is still very new and needs more content, but here is the link :)

I'am definitely staying away from youtube after it's many changes over the years as it's rules have killed many channels.
Next year more channels will be killed :( New rules about children's content. Too complicated for many people who have a lot of content to change all of them and a big loss as well :(
