It is an opportunity for all member of the family to return home and then gather to countdown until the sacred moment.
It reminds Vietnamese people who are living abroad, far away from Vietnam of who they truly are and where they genuinely belong to.
Tết - with strongest sense of ritual, it is not only about family reunion, it is also the point to communicate with ancestors, with the Mother Nature.
That is something called traditional values.
I wore traditional clothes in Lunar New Year. “Áo dài” and Peach Blossom - symbols of Lunar New Year in Vietnam.
As a Vietnamese, Tết is always in my heart.
I always feel excited every year when the date comes close. Watching everyone busy with their preparations, rushing home to be with family, all the decorations being put up, all the smile on people’s face, is extremely emotional.
When all the streets are empty and all the shopes are closed. People wipe everything to spend time with family.
That is the magic moment when I realize that family is above all, and that is also the moment when I know how important the Lunar New Year is to us.
Tết is coming...
Time to return...

Tet is quite boring for me. Everyone goes away and Saigon becomes very quiet. But I love the fact that the traffic disappears. Happy Tet @hanggggbeeee.
