RE: @photocontests Accounts Do Not Have Enough Bandwidth!

in #blog7 years ago

I guess the main things are to make reference to the name of the contests and who started it, and put the tag of the contest in the tags line. You can check the end of @photocontests' posts to see the contests sponsored by @juliank. I hope I've helped!

Before I knew contest details, I saw smartphone photography entries in my feed and was inspired to enter one during my road trip over the weekend. I happened to post a smartphone photo on the correct day, Saturday:

The next day I posted another using the smartphone tag again because I hadn't learned the daily categories for Sunday:

I'm learning :) I appreciate the friendly advice and comments I've received! https://steemit.com/smartphonephotography/@mininthecity/smartphone-photography-sunset-in-the-north-woods https://steemit.com/smartphonephotography/@mininthecity/smartphone-photography-sentinel-skis

Oh I found that now, a list with which categories @juliank is hosting contests for each weekday. Thanks, very helpful! I posted two smartphone contest entries and one was on the wrong weekday. Lesson learned :) It will be fun taking photos for various categories.

Be sure you get your entry in before UTC+1 as that is when the contest clock resets to a new day. As well, make sure you've included the correct tag for the relevant subject so the bot can find you! ;)
hello, btw! this is @zipplyo – I relocated to this account a couple weeks ago!I was just about to say – two subjects per day, as listed at the bottom of the winner announcements on the @photocontests blog.

Well hello! I really want to make more time to peruse and support blogs, including yours. Glad to hear from you! Thanks for the tips! Your photography is excellent. For now, I'm working with phone photos. It's fun to look through my giant collection that I didn't know what to do with :) Now to google current UTC. I live in the Central Time Zone of the US...

Was happy to find your post in the entries for Friday. ;) One can do a lot with a phone. It's really the seeing that matters.

So, I've been posting my entries way too late according to UTC+1. Thanks again for the information! How does one find out the timeline without a helpful comment such as yours? Still riding the steemit learning curve :)
