IF HUMANKIND VANISHED, WHAT WOULD TAKE PLACE?

in #blog7 years ago

Hello Steemians!

It has been my daily routine to wake up so early in the morning, get up, take a pee, open my phone, surf the web until I fall back to sleep. But earlier this morning, as I randomly scanned through my Facebook feeds, I came across with this post which caught my attention. From a Facebook page, Science Nature Page, it says "What Would Happen If All Humans Disappeared?", in its video post, it states the possible effects if ever humankind ends.

So in this post, I would just like to share it to everybody how interesting it is and horrifying at the same time to be in that point of our life. (Simbako palayo!)

IF HUMANKIND VANISHED, WHAT WOULD TAKE PLACE?

If all living creatures today disappeared from earth, this world will never be the same again and will turn into a very different place.

Majority of the lights across the globe will shut off in just a few hours.

Source
Because power plants would run out of fuel and solar panels would eventually get covered in dust.

Source
And only the hydroelectric stations would be the only power plant that will still be running.

Two or three days later, nearly all of the underground train systems would flood.

Source
Because the pumps that kept the water out would stop functioning.

Out of starvation, pets and farm animals would die ten days later.

While varieties canine would hunt down for other animals to be able to survive.

Later a month, the cooling water in nuclear power stations would have evaporated.

That would lead to a numerous disasters around the world.

The Fukushima nuclear disaster.

Chernobyl disaster.

Birth defects and cancer were the norm for many years following the Chernobyl disaster. By the time residents of Pripyat were ordered to evacuate, about two days after the Chernobyl core meltdown had occurred, many had already been exposed to varying doses of radiation poisoning.

But the planet would later on recover from the radioactive contamination.

One year later, satellites around Earth will start to fall from their orbit.

Forming strange "shooting stars" in the sky.

25 years later, vegetation will coat the world.

Along with the towns and cities being buried in sand.

300 years later, towers, metal buildings and bridges will start to break apart due to corrosion.

10,000 years later, the only proof of our existence will be the things we've made with stones.
Such as the Pyramid in Egypt, ...

... the Great Wall of China, ...

... and Mount Rushmore in the US.

If Earth avoids from a life-ending phenomenon such as self-inflicted nuclear apocalypse or a deadly asteroid, life on Earth could survive for another 500 million years.

Source
6 billion years from now, the sun is expected to swell into a red giant engulfing our home Earth in the process.

See the horror in there?
We all know that all of us are just living here temporarily, we are just tenants in this world and we are lucky enough to have been blessed with all such beautiful and abundant earth, so why not be grateful? And as a tribute for all of these and as a pay back, we only have one task to act, and that is to take care of our environment as well as the creatures around us.

And lastly, we should never forget to thank our GOD, pray and repent for we all know that soon enough, HEshall return, might as well be prepared for the coming of Jesus Christ.
