Daily Musings 01/18/2022

It is midday pacific standard time.

The crypto markets are bleeding hard as well the traditional stock market.

A few months back I bought into the "short" thesis in regards to GME and AMC. I think there is truth to it, and I'm pretty sure "they" haven't covered. But man my position still keeps on bleeding. I'm still holding lol. The way I look at it is I 'donated' 3k to the cause lol. Some day perhaps MOASS will come but not today haha. I hold strong for the rest of my Ape brother's and sisters. But I've more or less written off those 3 thousands dollars. RIP.

On the cryptoverse, for the year I am down but since starting my crypto journey little over 2 years ago. I am up considerably. I got lucky AF and bought in Dec 2020. I was flush with cash then and haven't sold my LARGE positions. Buy and hold has worked for me so far. Who knows there still might be 90% draw down. But I don't give a fuck. My long term horizon is in decades. In exponential terms that's like a millennium lol. Plus, I stopped pricing things in FIAT. It's better to price in ETH or BTC.

On the precious metals front, Silver had a superb day. The price of silver in USD terms is irrelevant because it is heavily manipulated. See the Bankster's created derivatives of silver. Basically, paper iou's. They flood the market with these paper derivatives misrepresenting the value of silver. So yes it was an excellent day for silver in fiat terms. But that's irrelevant. The true value of silver is silver itself.

I went for a run today. I used to do the actifit posts but those are a waste of time. Their little user interface is absolute garbage. And to get any significant votes, you have to be part of the "circle jerk". I'm relatively knew to the hive block chain but i quickly learned that circle jerking is the way it works around here lol. I'm not hating on it just pointing it out. Hard pass for me. I rather just do a daily musings blog to track my progress.

Anyway, I was able to go for 1.3 miles at a 10 min per mile pace and then I gassed. I'm carrying some extra pounds making it difficult to go further. Tomorrow I'll give 2 miles a shot. I feel good running, but I just gas out. Hal Higdon's novice marathon training plan is on week "0". Let's call this week pre-season. I'm still a fat fuck. Just kidding, but I could use to lose a couple pounds. Progress not perfection.

As for the programming front. I'm close to finishing an intro to python online tutorial. I'm getting the concepts and jargon down. Understanding For Loops and importing modules. The more I learn about programming the more I realize that programming is COPY PASTA lol. Being a beginner, manipulating and navigating Visual Code has been the best thing so far. Yes learn the concepts of programming, but that text editor, good lord, its an f-ing life saver.

Just had lunch. Been picking up these progresso canned soups from the grocery store for .99 cents a pop. Nowadays super markets love dishing out those digital coupons. Yes there's massive inflation, but with those digital coupons, you can find some decent deals. That's I what I pretty much shop nowadays. Whatever is on sale via digital coupons. Granted processed can soup isn't the best of things and I might have to change up my diet. But for now that will do.

I did start making bread at home. Got a good deal on a breadmaker a few months back. I'm still perfecting my bread recipe but I've learned I like my bread to have a sweet kick. Not to too sweet but I like two tablespoons in my batches lol. We are getting there on the bread front. Manipulating the yeast is an art form. There's that fast acting yeast. But right now I'm messing with the regular dry yeast.

For the rest of the day. It's pretty much chill with my two cats, finish up programming and see where my impulses take me. Fuck I'm impulsive lol.
