It's around 11:20am Pacific Standard time on a Tuesday.
I kind of took a break from the hive blockchain. I've kind of gotten burned out. And my optimism for it has wavered. There's simply too many points of failures. The curation system is out of whack with insistent circle jerking, random down voting, and limited visibility.
On the splinterlands front, the tokenomics of the game is pretty shitty, the rental system is sub par, and playing against robots on the daily is BORING AF.
Who knows maybe it catches fire but for now not a big fan of Splinterlnds.
On the running front, I've keep up with my weekly training sessions and made progress. I am now on week 3 and come saturday, i will be doing a 7 mile run.
As for programming, I'm about to star with object oriented programming. I have a good handle of if statements, while loops, for loops, dictionaries, lists, and what not. My problem solving is shit though. But my brain has now wrapped its head around data structures, cardinal ordering, and the python/programming lingo. Just have to keep hacking away. Plus it seems like after learning all this shit, you can throw it out the window and just simply learn where and how to plug in built in functions and libraries. The problem solving is where the real programmers stand out. And I think there is only a handful of those fuckers lol.
I'll probably keep up with the blogging. But creating content for curation rewards, probably going to pass on that. Not sold on this hive eco-system.
On a side note HIVE might be useful for anonymous journalistic pursuits. I've read journalists in Mexico continue getting sniped by Narcos. Might do them well to jump onto HIVE. the only thing is their journalistic reach will probably be limited AF.
All right catch y'all later.
