#Blog - I have a question: why have our rewards been dropping within time?
This is a question I'd like to ask to the community, rather than a simple post. Why does our rewards drop within time?
Say, I post something that is upvoted and rewards me $ 10,00 by the end of the week. In the first day, things are okay, no drops and stuff. But in the next day the rewards start to drop. I find them by around $ 9,80, then $ 9,60 by the next and in the end of the week cycle, I'd get about $ 8,60 to $ 8,50.
This drop seems to be proportional, since I lose less absolute value on less upvoted posts, but these values are proportional to the final amount.
By the end of the week, I noticed that I lose from 10 to 15% of my initial rewards if my post don't receive any further upvotes. Can someone explain why this happens? Perhaps this is a mechanic of Steemit I didn't notice. I need some help on that people!

I've been asking this same question too, along with "why am I suddenly having "bandwidth issues" when I've barely posted anything?
Could it be related to the rapid recent drop in STEEM's value?
Perhaps. I've been searching for similar topics, but I can't seem to find something. This drop seemed like a reason to me, but there's an actual growth in the presence of the Steem currency.
Who would know?
Did the amount of steem and SBD change? Can you draw a statistics with that instead?
The possible rewards you are to receive by the end of the week keep dropping. As an example, a post of mine from two days ago had me receiving $ 5,72 in the first day. Now the post is only worth $4,57. I'd like to know the reason behind this.
