Huge disappointment in a writer

Hi, guys!

Yesterday I had one of the biggest disappointments in writers in my entire life. I adored Neil Gaiman, so yesterday when I found out that he was a rapist, it hit me hard. I wish it was a lie, so that it wouldn't be confirmed. But unfortunately, such things rarely turn out to be lies.

I'm continuing to work on my manuscript, and now I'm trying to do everything as quickly as possible, so that I can finish the first draft as soon as possible and start editing. I have a quarter left to write, and actually that's quite a lot, but I try not to think about it like that, because basically I already have to put the plot lines together and fill in all the holes, so now I just need to connect the pieces of the manuscript together, so I just need to write beautiful fragments. After that, I'll go over the whole text again and add some color to it, but that will be when the dictionaries I ordered yesterday arrive.

Yesterday was literally my dictionary-buying day. I ordered about ten of them, and I hope they will arrive quickly. One of them is a dictionary of Ukrainian swear words, which is very expensive and I used to begrudge the money to order it, but now I finally decided to do it, because I realized that sooner or later I will have to do it anyway. Let it be, my heroes need to express themselves in some non-standard way.

This evening I will have a lecture on the structure of the world, maybe I will learn something new from it that can be added to my book, and then I will have an additional layer of information and an expanded text. But even if not, it will be useful to me in any case.

I will go to work further.
