Hi guys:) Since I decided that Sunday is my day off from drawing - today I'm sharing upgrades I made in my fish tank. Last week we changed out soil to colored one, and also added a tree root as a hiding place for fishes who need it. And on Friday one of my husband colleges, who also has a tank, presented us with a lot of new plants, cause the ones we had before almost all died because of the low soil level. They just had no place to spread their roots.
Well, OK, I think we all make mistakes when having the first tank. Despite the fact I killed the plants my fishes are OK, and this is what is important. Anyway I'm the indoor plants serial killer, unfortunately. I hope since I don't have to water the ones in the tank now they will survive with enough soil.
About the upgrades we have today: two new types of fishes arrived! As usual it's too hard to take pics of small fishes, especially since they're in motion all the time, so I will first show the normal shots with source to make the point what I'm talking about.
So we have now two Black Mollienesias and two White ones:
Such a beautiful, wonderful fishes! Too bad that the black ones seem to be really shy, and they're hiding in the tower and under the root. They have such a deep rich black color!
The white ones are more communicative, and they already became friends with danio fishes I had before.
But anyway still my favorites are my little ancistruses, I have two of them (the catfishes). And today I gave them a cucumber, and they really liked it:) As usual here's the trick: find the catfish:)
Here is the second one, on the top of the root:
My tank becomes more and more awesome, now already a month passed since we settled it. Hope soon our Mollienesias will feel OK at the new place, and we'll have another inhabitant - a shrimp.
P.S. Astro says "Hi":)

Great post, with amazingly beautiful photo shots.
I would like to get your perspective on the matter. Do you think as those fished in the tank as being trapped and prisoners for the pleasurable sight of a few humans?
Do you see them as happily living in their water thank while everything is provided for them? Like, food, clean water and so on.
Which is the "right perspective"? Is there such a thing as "right perspective"? Is it just a choice? It's a bit of both?
Since Mollinesias are only tank kind, artificially raised, and can't survive in wild... What do you think?
The same about my dog, for example. She can't survive in wild.
That will do as an answer for my question. It really is neither, from my point of view. It's what you choose to focus on that will become True to you. Thanks for the reply :)
Well... I don't wear fur and don't use animal tested cosmetic. I'm against of holding wild animals in circus or zoo. but my dog is breed to be at home, with people. So my point is like this:)
My mom grew up in poverty in Oklahoma - like Dust Bowl, nine people in one room kind of place - and the way she got out of poverty was through education. My dad grew up without a dad, with very little and he also made his way out through education.
Well... OK, Thanks for the information, but how does it relate to my post?
You did great work. I love the tank full of beauties. Now you can look at your fish and imagine how I dive in the ocean 🌊 😂 It's a joke. I love your work, enjoy your little fellows.
Well I really cam imagine that:) It's so calm and peaceful:)
Yes it is. Sooo calm and all your problems swim away under water. I just enjoy everything what surrounds me. The fish which do not talk only make that movement whith their mouth it is like slow motion movie. Alright I already would like to jump there but too far from the ocean 🌊 Kisses
I haven't seen the sea for already 4 years. Miss it so much:(
