@inquiringtimes You are one of the lights I continue to look towards when discouraged by certain aspects of this platform. Deserving of every bit of SP you've garnered.

Let me know when you're ready for a collab :)

A collab sounds fab!

you and me both.....this blockchain world is holding my attention more than any other job...I'm glad i found you, as my life is definitely richer with you in it.

Awe... Blushing! I can say the same of you dear Slothy!

Really inspiring. I'm pretty new and was struggling with the advice that I've read in some places about establishing a niche for yourself and focusing on articles within a certain topic. That might work for some people who are inspired by things like food or gardening etc, but honestly what I'm inspired by is LIFE and KNOWLEDGE, and so I'd rather write about whatever new idea or concept I've come across or that I'm currently passionate about. It was great to read your comment about writing what you're inspired to write. I think I'm already halfway there towards following that sentiment too.

Secondly, yes I really appreciate posts that contain links to whatever the author mentions. I've been led on to find so much other incredible stuff by following links that people were kind enough to post.

Finally, it's nice to know that you spend so long creating a post. I look at some people's accounts and their history of posts really seems like a labour of love - but it's intimidating to think that such quality stuff could be banged out in 10 minutes. Now I feel better about the time it takes me to write something. Thanks for sharing these thoughts !

Building knowledge while earning steem is like a dream :)

As far as how long it takes me to create... some articles take quite a bit longer than 8 hours to be honest. It really depends on the subject. Now that I've been writing for some time, I can even write an article in 4 hours occasionally :)

Steem On, Friend!

you are beautiful dude. Congratulations for holding on to your steemit employment for such a tasty stretch of existence. It is amazing that this is your only source of income and inspiring that your have built yourself on quality posting and genuine community relation. Massive love my friend! x (you rock)

that's really sweet of you to say! You are quite beautiful yourself. Inspiring, really <3 I wish I really understood and knew your ways.

I don't really think of it as a job, however, it's my only source of income, and I spend 10-12 hours a day reading steem posts, researching cryptocurrency, and learning everything I can learn. Occasionally, I even publish an article.

It's a passion and we can earn from it. You have aptly written it down to describe that this is not a job.
I also dove into head first I was introduced to it, hoping to make a living. But that has totally changed. I value this platform now as a source of knowledge.

Thank you for sharing.
Cheers

I was going to write something like this, I totally agree with you. I would add that it's not wise to treat it as your only income source, or that you have a good plan for what to do if the votes or coin value evaporates. Don't make yourself too vulnerable to the tides of the markets, including the information market.

I hear that. I'm trying to build up some other investments, as well... and hopefully within the next yearish, I'll have developed my skills and knowledge base to the point that I'm not as dependant upon steem. In the meantime, this is a great opportunity and learning experience :-D

Yes, agree. And earning something by being creative is a bonus. And if we become so good at it, we just cannot avoid the in coming income.
Thanks

Hi @inquiringtimes :) I love that you love steemit!! Seriously, the excitement I see from you and so many others here is really infectious!

I also wanted to thank you so much for the delegated vests I woke up to today in my wallet! Such a pleasant surprise...they will not go to waste I can assure you! I have a question however...are they on loan to me for a certain amount of time or mine to keep? Hope that's an ok question...I'm still learning here:) Cheers!

the delegation is 3 months or when I remember to remove it, which ever happens second.

Well thank you again; I will put it to good use regardless of how long I may be on borrowed time:)

Memes and cleavage posts are all that make it here kid! Take your research back to them high falutin schools where they belongs! We don't take kindly to those kind here.

Congrats on the milestones man! You've gailed legend status!

what you aren't gonna drop a silly meme on me right now?

Thanks for all the help along the way bud. My life wouldn't be the same without ya!

2000 SP, 1.9k followers and 63 rep is a great feat. I've been here for the same time as you but you have achieved a lot more. So, that means you're doing something right. Keep Steemin' ;)

This blog should have been much more excited and grateful for how far I've come! but I've been in a somber reflective mood, and feeling a little lost at where I'm going ... Thank you!

I feel the same at times because even I write on Steemit as a full time blogger. Future feels uncertain at times when my confidence is low but keeping faith and steeming on. :)

I agree with u in everything mi friend. This is a special, different, and a beautiful place to stay, I love when people really appreciate content. And here I find so much information more easy than google. Thx for always be a good creator of content and relationships! Keep on! 🙏🏻

I'm better at the content than the relationships...

thank you!

I am completely overwhelmed, you have achieved so much in so little time. I really hope and pray I will be able to achieve as much as u in the same time limit. Thanks for sharing, your work and achievement gives me hope that a lot of things are possible

It's been a lot of work, make no mistake about that! Worth every minute of it!

If I spent 8 hours working on a post, and it doesn't earn much, but its valuable content, then people will be able to get value out of it for a long time. Keeping in the practice of creating the best quality possible is more important than getting the best votes possible. I will continue honing my craft, and creating quality, while building relationships.

This is it for me, Steemit is a platform that I can write down my thoughts, stories, ramblings anything that is me, more for the fact that it will be here, if I or anyone else every wants to come back and see. If I make a couple bucks, meh, though it is driving me to participate and invest time and thought into my posts.

Although the topics we write about are a bit different and you are here for longer, I've found myself in many things you mentioned in this article. I also have a notes with 10-15 ideas for articles, I try not to compromise quality due to a lack of time, and I'm trying to connect with interesting Steemians every day. I have summarized my Steemit experience like this:

  1. I came here for the money
  2. Very soon I came to believe that there is no much money for me here
  3. I choose to stay anyway because I really enjoyed the opportunity to express my life & society thoughts and get a lot of much-appreciated meaningful feedback to them
  4. After connecting with some like-minded Steemians, I came to realize that there actually is (and will be more and more) money for me here, too
  5. I choose to reinvest everything I earn on Steemit in powering-up my Steemit account
  6. I decided to decrease my freelance activities (I increased my hourly rate and closed some old contracts in order to get fewer jobs) so that I can have more time for posting, commenting, upvoting, and above-all enjoying Steemit

Cheers! : )

I wish you all of the best! blessings!

Hahaha I liked what you've written here. The 1st-4th summarizes my experiences in joining steemit and i think i'm seeing myself leading to the 5th and 6th haha Enjoying myself here, although i had to admit my first intention was just really to earn money, but eventually, after seeing friends and making new friendships through commenting, following and upvoting, I would say i will stay here for the community and not merely of monetary concerns. Because hey! Money will come with generous friends and even strangers who are generous enough to share what they have ^_^ You really have to earn your reputation by creating good contents. While some may say earning money in steemit is easy, I flash them with my glaring eyes, that's not true at all XD but anyway, thanks for this. I can really relate to this! Steem on

Earning money on Steemit is relatively easy only if your a celebrity, a writer, a photographer, or a similar profession that does quite well here and has already created content that can be shared. Thank you the the comment, I'm glad there are more people like me. Enjoy! : )

Inquiringtimes, your honest approach will take you far... today I learned something new and I removed insignificant information out of my mind... thank you for the lovely post.

Indeed steemit it's a place where you can earn some bucks for your passions which isn't that easy to do in real life, you are very talented so you diserve it! :)

your writing is very good, I become more motivated when reading it. to create good content is very difficult and need ideas and time enough, I appreciate your work. I will also try like you. thanks for sharing @inquiringtimes

Thank you! Keep working at it, and I will too.

Seriously I tell you now Steemit is a best media platform I've ever seen. I wish you all the success for future.@inquiringtimes, Absolutely brilliant contents indeed your 07 month experience of steemit platform. Highly appreciated post you wrote there. Nice to decided you share. I agree your all points as you told here. Actually we can't find any locations to earning some create contents through social medias. Steemit giving more opportunities for find anythings (cryptocurrency/ nature/ movies/ adventure/ games etc...) , earning steem tokens, get more followers and build up responsible friendships. Currently crypto shown some down, but no need to worries coz it will be gain soon.

thanks for visiting. steem on!

Keeping in the practice of creating the best quality possible is more important than getting the best votes possible. I will continue honing my craft, and creating quality, while building relationships.

I totally agree with you on this one @inquiringtimes. Writing is a form of art, we can express any emotion through our writings and this doesn't come easy as it needs effort and practice. Creating good quality posts are more important than writing just to run after for best votes. As i believe, if you've written a good content, people will be following you because of your good writing skills and not merely for votes. I just stumbled upon your blogs and I'm really loving it. Continue to inspire others through your blogs. I know I am ^_^

Nice one Dearie! I love how you closed the writeup with remarkable words like this;-

It's a miracle that someplace like this exists. Where I earn cryptocurrency for research, study, sharing education, getting involved in different projects, and connecting with this community.

Keep steeming Sweetheart! I read every word.

you are successful because you have goals. your goal is quality. be good at your goal.I wish you success. I am taking you as an example

Where I earn cryptocurrency for research, study, sharing education, getting involved in different projects, and connecting with this community.

I was fascinated when I heard about steemit. My friend told me I could get paid in cryptocurrency for writing unique and great contents. I had to dive into it as fast as I could.

However, I read more than I write and I've learnt a lot so far from steemit. Steemit is an archive of wonderful informations and you just can't stop yourself from reading.

very nice!

When a friend of mine who usually reads my poem on facebook complained that I was just wasting my works that i should be earning through it by interacting with others, I felt reluctant because I'm terrible at socializing with people but now i can say that steemit is really a nice platform to be
Keep steeming, I'm inspired by your worksIt's really nice to have people like you around on steemit @inquiringtimes

@inquiringtimes i see myself so much in your words! i keep trying to gather so much info as i can in here , like you said, study. And at the same time trying to calm down, grab a cup of tea and sit and write all that is in my head. i want to talk about so many things too :)

Everyday we learn new things, thanks for this one @inquiringtimes

Steem loves you too InquiringTimes.

Plus, you have a lot of good friends here, me included, who simply know what you're worth even if you're not the most prolific author around.

Who are you^? What are you doing»?

Only you can answer these questions, but I can answer that I think you are a great thinker, you have a lot of value to give and you do not like to half-bake things.

A perfectionist, a dang talented writer and a good friend.

You're a great addition to the community.

Cheers

Thanks for the gift. Nice blog. Following.
