A couple of weeks ago, I was tagged in a challenge by @playfulfoodie. The first challenge I've ever been tagged to! I couldn't spare some time to write about it until now (I'm sorry!) but I'm here to do the deed!
The challenge is:
Answer these questions:
- What have you done in November?
- What are your plans for December and the new year?
- How's 2021 treated you so far?
AND
I also challenge you to make up TWO new questions!
Tag three (or more) of your friends on hive, and let us get to know each other a little bit better!
What have you done in November?
Would it be rude if I told you I don't remember? Hahah! Well, not really, it was a little weird. After my marriage, I didn't have time to move out of my old flat, so the month started with that. I've lived there for 6 long years, I had a lot of clutter. I mean, A LOT! I threw away/donated/sold probably the half of my stuff (which honestly felt good, I must do more decluttering and more often) but still I had tons to pack and move. It was a stressful week, really. I remember at one point I called my husband crying, having a breakdown on how I couldn't get things done. Thankfully, he calmed me pretty well and I was ready to move out when he came over on the weekend. Even my parents visited and we had a little celebration dinner. Ther surprised me with a cake, cause the moving day was my birthday! It was real sweet of them to plan it together. My sweethearts, hehe.
After that hassle, another struggle came by which is settling all the new stuff to our new flat! UGH, I must say I HATE moving. I don't even like setting up a bag for travelling, let alone completely gathering all your life in boxes! Uh! Thankfully, I wasn't in a rush this time, I had no time limits so I went on, slow and steady, just the way I like to work.
In the end of the month, I had midterms of my Web Design & Coding course. The whole month I didn't have much time to study so I panicked when I realized the tests were coming up. Thankfully, after a day and a half of binge-studying, they went well enough to pass. But the real excitement was waiting for me home when I got back. I got my late surprise birthday gift; a brand new screen tablet! I can't tell you how excited I was about that, it's been something I wanted since high school! I was sooo touched! <3
So, in short, November was a transaction month for me, from an old life to a new one!
What are your plans for December and the new year?
I'm bad with planning. So bad, really! I imagine plans, scedules, get excited about them and never manage to fully follow them!
I am just TIRED this month. Really tired, I guess I'm in a burnout after everything that has happened. But I'm doing my best to move around and get to work, get out of this ugly rut! The month is almost over, so it's just plans for the new years.
I plan to be more productive! I really need to get back to exercising as well, my body's slowly melting itself to Jabba the Hutt. We're in a struggle with our economy, so I'm trying to figure out how to make money with my art. So far, university and life's been putting blocks on me, but I'm over with school and so far I've managed to organize my life. So I think I can focus on art and earning my life now, and that's my plan for the new years! I really missed streaming on Twitch, so I plan to return to that too.
How's 2021 treated you so far?
I'd say... Interesting. A little chaotic, a little hard, but with surprises and new beginnings!
The year started on a lockdown. (Thanks, Covid-19, you're an a**.) But those were the good days I suppose. At least the days were easy. The real challenge started once the lockdown was over. A good challenge too! A lot of running, a lot of errands, a lot of planning, a lot of stress... But we managed to make it! We got married with no problems, with a fun party! Just this took our months to organise and plan, but it was totally worth it.
Our tiny "honeymoon" getaway was a blast, too. We visited Cappadocia, first time ever in my life. It was charming, really. Relaxing and fun, too. I think my DnD adventurer self released itself while we ere exploring the underground city. I was running to every tunnel, crawling in every corner! Oh, I want to go again!
After that part was another challange, with the moving and all. But I can't say 2021 was bad. No, actually, it was a blast for me. How could it not be? It was my gateway to a new life! My only regret is that I didn't get the time to paint much this year, but what's passed has passed. I'll catch up on the new year!
So, here I'm supposed to make up two new questions. I'm bad with these things, but... I think I have some in my mind. No one has to answer these, feel no pressure.
What's a new thing that's excited you in 2021?
Drop a song you've discovered in 2021 and loved!
Invitations.
So, I'm supposed to invite people to this challange... Well, I'm fairly new to Hive and I don't know much people, so my options are limited.
- My good friend @elwnyx has to be on the list, of course. She's the one who got me here!
- The helpful @ruen is on the list as well.
- I don't know @julesquirin personally, but they've been really supportive on my posts, I felt like inviting them to the challange as well!
Thank you for reading!
See you later!
Mehn 2021 was so challenging and also really full of discoveries, I enjoyed 2021 cause my art journey has really been interesting and I learnt alot , getting cash for some courses was impossible at first cause it quite expensive so been a self taught has really be tough but I was excited I really improved from learning through other people work... And coming back to peakd , Hive has really pushed my art journey far....
Am not really a fan of songs , but let me say I love a song by BOB MARLEY titled REDEMPTION.
Life's always a challenge itself, but I suppose it gets harder from time to time. Glad to hear you're progressing in your art journey! Making money with art is hard, even though art itself consumes quite the expense itself.
Also it always surprises me when I hear about people not enjoying music, since I can't live without any melody around XD Redemption Song is a nice one though!
Cintiq oo cool, but Hujon maybe was a better (cheaper) alternative, but nevermind - You draw cool stuff, so my bosman will be keepn an eye on You :). Arrr!!!
Haha thank you! I did consider Huion, almost settled on one too. But the prices weren't that different in my country at the time, so I turned to Cintiq. I'm happy with it so far ^^ Yarrr!
