The Philippines is very cheap, and that is why I love living here. And today, I'd like to share with you guys what a dollar can get you if you happen to visit our country.
The prices are converted to USD, please be informed that no one accepts dollar here, except Duty Free shops.
Let's go!
What you can get with your $1?
I'm an alcoholic, so let me start with our local brandy. You can get this bottle of quality liquor for $1.
Smoker? You can get a pack of Marlboro. But be careful of the nationwide smoking ban.

When your fridge is empty and you're hungry. Try grabbing two bars of Snickers.
You can get haircut for two too! And if you're from other country, the barber will give it for free, just sweet talk him. People here are very generous.

Its expected that more than 70% of the population here in the Philippines will be having their own versions of spaghetti for Christmas. Trust me, you can get 2 kilos of spaghetti pasta with $1 from a local market, or maybe more if you know how to ask for "tawad" or discount.

Bribery is against the law, we all know that. But here in the Philippines, it happens all the time and $1 worth of "lagay" or bribe can actually save our asses from paying penalties.

There are lots of food stands here, and most of it sells burgers. What if I tell you that a dollar can get you four burgers?

After eating your burger, you can get 5 glasses of "gulaman" or juice drink too!

How much does a scoop of ice cream cost you? Because here in the Philippines, you can get at least half litre of "sorbetes" (Filipino term for ice cream) with a dollar.

My family likes having toasted breads for breakfast. So we buy loaves of bread in bulk. But if we are on a budget, a dollar can still get us two loaves of bread.

I've never really tried marijuana before, but my friends told me once that a packet of Benguet weed costs around $1. There are illegal marijuana farms in the mountainous parts of the Philippines, I got no idea why they are not getting raided.

There are actually lots of things you can buy with a dollar here in our country, and it might take time if I will tell you in detail, so that is pretty much all for today.
(Tell me what a dollar can get me in your country, let's talk on the comments!☺)

Haha nice real funny facts!
Btw you forgot the tagline of Angels! "Sa unang kagat tinapay lahat"
True! HAHAHA! But what Angels are good at is catching the "Panlasang Pinoy", the reason they are still there despite the fact that their burger has "meat deficiency".
Agree, I would rather eat Angels versus Mimute Burger or other burger joints. Dakilang pangtawid gutom ko dati yan lalo na pag critical wallet days.
Totoo! Nako lalo na nung BPO days ko, jusko yan lang sapat na. Di ko need ng starbucks.
Haha nag BPO din aq 😂 grabe be Kopis (kapeng lasang ipis) from the free vendo machine lang solb na.
HAHAHAHAHAHA true!
