Rogue One
Finally, we’re at the end of the list. The best movie of the Star Wars franchise; Rogue One.
Rogue One takes place during the days leading up to A New Hope. The story follows Jyn Erso, daughter to Galen Erso, a leading scientist in the creation of the famous Death Star.
She is rescued by the Rebellion after they hear of the Death Star, and she is sent with Captain Cassian Andor to find a Rebel extremist by the name of Saw Gerrera, who currently has a defected Stormtrooper in his possession.
What follows is a two hour war movie set in the world of Star Wars. There are no Jedi in this movie. No force users, just normal fighters. This is new and honestly amazing. A gritty type of war movie set in the world of Star Wars is so genius and I’m baffled that it didn’t happen sooner.
Now, let’s begin with what I LOVE about this movie.
The characters here are all amazing. Each member of Rogue One is loveable.
The stand outs are K-2, a reprogrammed Imperial Droid who speaks whatever comes to mind. He’s sarcastic, snarky and downright hilarious to watch. My second favourite character is Chirrut Imwe, a blind man who is probably the closest to a Jedi we see in this film. Sure, he may be blind, but this man kicks some serious ass. The rest of the characters are all fantastic, but those are my two favourites of the group.
The story in this film, is great. The fact that this movie managed to patch up a glaring plot hole of a New Hope is fantastic, I won’t go into spoilers here, but they explain the cause for the glaring issue in the Death Star.
The entire third act of the movie is amazing. It’s probably my favourite act in any movie. The entire battle of Scarif is just so great to witness. Seriously, best battle in Star Wars. It makes Hoth look like nothing.
Now, let’s go over THAT scene in this movie, which again, we have a few of. The entire third act, as I said before is memorable and easily the highlight of the whole movie.
However. Inside that third act is one scene. One single 90 second scene that I’m sure anyone who has seen the film will know already. But, to give a clue; Darth Vader. That scene is probably the coolest, most badass, fanboy fuelling things I’ve ever seen. I FREAKED out the first time I saw it. I’ve watched that scene countless times and it still fills me with a childlike excitement, and I’m not even that much of a fanboy for Vader so I cannot fathom how incredible it must have been for the die hard Vader fans to witness for the first time.
I see people complain that the first half of the movie is too all over the place, jumping around from planet to planet too fast and being far too hectic to keep up with, but, I disagree. This movie only really has three planets. Discounting the Rebel Base, obviously.
But, that minor issue that I personally don’t see aside, there really isn’t much for me to complain about here. I just love this movie to death, it is easily my favourite Star Wars movie, with out a doubt.
I have the complete opposite opinion of Rogue One, to me it's the worst Star Wars film yet! You'd put it ahead of the original trilogy? I'm surprised!
Really? What’d you hate about it? I haven’t seen all too many compla
My review of Rogue One would be, 'remember Star Wars', it's empty fanfare with no memorable characters, I was bored the entire time. I'm not a fan of the prequel trilogy either, they're terrible films but I was never bored like I was when I watched Rogue One!
That's completely fair. As I said in the review, I LOVED the characters in the movie. Sure, the Pilot fell a little flat times, but he was still likable, and his death made me upset. But the film was constantly interesting and after several viewings, it still manages to be exciting and interesting for me, HOWEVER, I do not disagree or think you're wrong in your opinion.
Very beautiful way you see our image very interesting to appear in it very interesting in front of our movie. It was very much in your review that your word was your review.

The Last Jedi has that awesome scene in the red room. Rogue one has the best fight scene in all of Star Wars films with Darth Vader at the end in the dark hallway and his red lightsaber turns on (goosebumps)
Yes! That red room scene was incredible. Holy crap I freaked out when I watched it in cinema, and Vader’s scene is just the best way to make everyone realise how much of a badass he is
