That's smart, for quick and easy work. Naturally, more vote % for long-term players (powering down doesn't indicate short/long term by the way). In the end, a protocol is just a protocol and all new language / currency / culture evolve over time as people use it..

Gotcha...For me even selling Steem in order to participate in other projects doesn’t indicate short term point of view for Steem. I sold some during the recent pump in order to participate in more projects and communities with the intention to buy back in and more when Steem (or the overall hype) falls once again (which probably will happen in our volatile market).
