Realize that you actually can’t do it, that you are terrible at fixing things and that now it’s way worse than before.

- Step 8
Give up, for now.
- Step 9
Open the box where you are saving the songs to fix later.
- Step 10
Behold the cemetery of songs.
- Step 11
Hate yourself even more.
- Step 12
Go to sleep.
- Step 13
Dream about some solutions.
- Step 14
Wake up.
- Repeat steps 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 for (you know) ever.
Or just meh… on it, and play it like it is until it magically fixes itself.

I don't really write songs (not in any permanent way anyway), but I find myself following a very similar creative process to yours whenever I write anything... poetry, prose, even code.
