Too Much to Say

Art credit: um, I don't know? This statue was in the Met in NYC and that's all I've got on it. We took the picture because when we first glanced at her, we thought she was looking at a cell phone. LOL! Oh, brains. What tricks you play. Photo credit: @brianreecegreen

Anyway, I haven't been around Steemit for a few days, mainly because I have too much to say and not enough time to say it. That remains true. I have an actual list of Steemit posts I'd like to make, mainly blog-like things where I air my thoughts and feelings in the search for clarity, but even those would take so much time to type up and I feel like I should be doing something else instead. Like answering the wonderfully thoughtful responses to my last blog-like post! Or cleaning my bathroom and kitchen! Or sorting laundry! Or doing yoga! Or working on my books! Or editing for a client!

But I didn't want to go too long without posting here, so I'm dropping by to say hello and say that my absence isn't a lack of interest or a lack of ideas for what to share. Rather it's the opposite: too much to share and too much interest in your wonderful responses. Also that pesky thing called time. There's a lyric from a song I love, "Bevery Cleary's 115th Dream", that's been circling in my mind lately: "Forever seems like such a very long time, but time's the one thing that's never on your side."

What a pretty statue! I want to see more art like that! Sadly we don't have a lot of great art museums in Utah. I wish I had more "cleaning" projects to do! It's so relaxing! Maybe you could spend 20 minutes on each, And try to get as much as you can done.

that's perfection!

Nice art <3

Beautiful statue.

Cheers!Hi ........... @leta-blake

awesome art!!!

plesae continue!!!

but actully its said, because we are not talking anymore face to face!

Just typ whats app and staff, in frankfurt here are restaurant where phones are forbidden! ;)

So the pepole talk to each other!!! ;)

Nice idea!! ;o)

Although I noticed it was a cross on close examination, I kinda want to see a sculptor do something similar with a cellphone ... possibly even with the Aphrodite posing herself for a "selfie"

It's not statue, it's a real woman. So beautiful ....

The photo captured me immediately and I too thought, that she was holding a cell phone... my excuse might be, that I actually drew a version of the greek goddess Athena with just that and I thought someone had a similar idea...

Have to smile, when you talk about time and all the things you should do. Feel much like the same, and I almost missed making my Friday post on the next Tarot card.

My problem is, that there is such a vast amount of interesting content around here, that it will likely take me month to read all of the posts I bookmarked already... still some of yours on my list!

I so relate to not posting because you have too much to post. we are busy with other life things and it's a struggle to find time to write, organize and edit the posts already in our heads. Meanwhile MORE post inspirations are happening and joining the pile up...!

Glad you came by to say "hello" and share your thoughts. 😘
