Already for a few years, I've been listening to a band called Lake Street Dive. It's a band originally from Boston with an interesting music style.
Although founded in 2004 the band is slowly gaining the attention they deserve. They've starred in several shows including an item in the David Letterman show in 2014. Here's the recording of Lake Street Dive at Letterman:

The lead singer Rachael Price is responsible for giving the band it's distinct sound. She's really an A-class singer. Her voice is so beautiful and it seems singing comes naturally to her!
The band is also not afraid to come up with nice cover songs once in a while. I especially like this bare version of a well known Jackson song. The baseline is so nice and dirty it always makes me feel good!
Although they tour mostly in the US at the moment I was able to see them play in Amsterdam a few years back. It was a great show. They played a very small venue with a crowd of maybe 300 people or so. They jammed away and had lots of fun. It was one of the better concerts I've seen in my life!
