How to remove rust from stainless steel
Method 1: Use baking soda or Oxalic acid
The power of baking soda cannot be denied when it comes to removing rust off any stainless steel irrespective of the use. Combine 1 tablespoon in 2 cups of water to form a thick paste that could cover the rusted portion. Allow this thick paste to sit on the surface for about half an hour if you are dealing with stubborn rust.
Rub the steel surface with the mixture using an old, soft bristle brush in the direction of the grain after that. Then wipe this mixture off with a damp cloth. Many people use a paper towel in this step. However, we do not recommend it as it could tear the paper and leave minute particles on the surface.

Method 2: Pick Lemon Juice + tartar cream
Squeeze a few drops of lemon into one tablespoon of tartar cream. Mix them well and form a paste. Then coat the rusty surface with a thick layer of this paste with a soft sponge. Wipe this layer with a damp sponge when you notice the rusty layer wear off. Then grab a dishcloth and softly pat the stainless steel surface of your furniture or appliances dry.
Method 3: Mix Lemon juice+baking soda!
Mix lemon juice and baking soda, maintaining a 1:1 ratio. Let this mixture sit at the surface for 30 minutes. Then rub the surface with a damp sponge and remove the water with a dry cloth.
