Snow storm in the UK?

in #blog7 years ago (edited)

A couple of days ago we had what we call a 'snowstorm' here in the UK?

Needless to say a lot of chaos happened on the roads and a lot of things ground to a halt?

Just reading a post from @deborahmack on ice fishing reminded me of my travels in Northern USA, Buffalo specifically.

The first snow of winter in 79' was 5 feet deep! People just got out, cleared it up and carried on.

What a difference?

Preparation and good planning makes sure that things still work when snow happens to fall.

The UK still has a lot to learn about coping with snow and ice. Every year the same nonsense. Chaos!

I of course smugly, have snow tyres. :)

Lol thanks for the shout-out! We wouldn't even salt the roads with that little bit of snow. Most people here these days either drive an all wheel drive or a 4x4 with either all seasons or snow tires in the winter. Good on you for having the mind to get snow tires. I am sure we could teach our besties in the U.K. a thing or 2 about snow n ice prep lol...Thanks Michael! :D

My pleasure Deb, you guys could definitely teach the Brits a thing or two about snow. They are hopeless lol tip!
