Notice of intention to instruct at home. Parents must provide written notice annually with the local superintendent their intention to educate their child at home by July 1st of each school year. The school year begins July 1st and ends June 30th for all purposes within this section.

What do I do after mailing out a certified letter of intent to my local superintendent? At this time, you will wait for your school to mail you a receipt of the notice of intention to instruct at home, the school district shall send the parent a copy of the state Homeschool Regulations and a form on which to submit an Individualized Home Instruction Plan (IHIP) by August 15th of that year.
Fill out the IHIP by August 15th of that Year.
Once you have mailed out a certified IHIP Plan by August 15th of that year, the superintendent of school district shall notify the parents that the IHIP complies with the requirements of the state homeschool laws.
