Visual Basic Or Python?

Guys I need a quick suggestion!I need to learn to use and write programs in any one of above languages.

which one do u think is better to learn??

python is good. It is basically a script language so I can write a program like Matlab (and python libraries are so rich and free!)

Python. Visual Basic is too old and too complicated already.
