This is beautiful! Thanks for sharing this with us! I really enjoyed reading it. I've never met anyone who wanted to be a knight in shining armour for me, lol. But I had always expected to find someone who was, ironically. But I've gone through a similar process as you describe above of figuring out who I am, and who I really want my partner to be in life. And I think we all have to go through that at some point in our lives, and decipher what's really true for us (not just the pattern that's laid down by society, so to speak).
